The show will go on for Michael Jackson’s “This Is It” tour.

The announcement was made at a June 26 memorial gathering for Jackson, held by the tour’s cast and crew.

According to a tour organizer, one performance will now be held in September and will be a replica of what was planned for “This Is It” in London.

High-profile singers are expected to perform in place of Jackson. Among them, possibly Madonna, who was expected to appear at one of Jackson’s shows in London. A firm decision has not been made as to where the tribute concert will take place, but it’s likely to be in Los Angeles.

One of the specials on last night said that there was over 8 hours of footage shot of Michael rehearsing the day before he died. Tell me that won't be released (legally or illegally) and become a smash.

Clearly they don't want to give out refunds. And I don't blame them - could you imagine how much money they'd have to give back? I don't see how this is going to work, though. No tribute can replace Michael Jackson.

On the news, it is said the promoters would have to refund $85 million.

When the Freddie Mercury tribute was announced, they had no problem at all getting performers, can you imagine all the people who'll want to participate in the MJ tribute??!!

i can see why they don't want to give people back their money.... but on the other, i have a feeling those bands and singers might put out awful cover versions or renditions of his hits. i cannot fathom madonna for example butchering something like smooth criminal or billie jean.

Could you imagine Madonna up on stage singing Billie Jean or Pretty Young Thing?

It use to bother me when I was a kid and Madonna would add lyrics from Billie Jean to Like A Virgin. I like her, but I didn't like her using his lyrics.

Personally, I would want my money back. I can understand someone who bought their ticket on ebay attending though.

LOL - I'd be asking for my money back in a heartbeat. Unless, of course, Madonna were to do the moonwalk. I'd happily pay money to see that :D

They should be performing at the concert. Janet, Latoya - I think it would be great if they were up there doing Michael.

Hey, Madonna is still in pretty good shape. I'd watch if she did the moonwalk!!
