View Full Version : Source: Brett Favre reaches agreement with Vikings
Brian Damage 06-24-2009, 11:29 PM MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (CBS) ― Source: Favre Will Be At Viking's Training Camp
Barring some unforeseen major physical setback, Brett Favre will be at Minnesota Vikings training camp in Mankato when it opens at the end of July, a source has told CBS station WCCO-TV.
That source said that Favre and the Vikings have indeed come to a contractual agreement. A Vikings equipment manager has already ordered number four purple jerseys with Favre's name on them.
On Sunday, Favre's longtime agent Bus Cooke denied a report that Favre and the Vikings had come to an agreement. It still isn't clear when the Vikings will officially announce that Favre has signed.
ProFootballTalk.com speculated the announcement will come Fourth of July weekend, when a lot of media folks are on vacation to minimize the circus atmosphere.
John David Booty is currently wearing number four, but not for long. Rosen said he believes the Vikings will keep Booty. The logical man to try and move would be Tavaris Jackson with Sage Rosenfels backing Favre up and ready to take over if Favre can't get the job done.

Scoobiedoo30 06-25-2009, 12:15 AM that would be good
Big C 06-25-2009, 01:10 AM Two things:
1. What a traitor. This is a slap to the Packers.
2. Why can't he just give up? He seems as if he wants to play until he's a skeleton. Is it REALLY worth one more season?
James 06-25-2009, 01:11 AM Darn! (If that report is true)
I was hoping Brett would make it a media circus and distract the team, only to say he's retiring for good, just to mess them up like he did with Green Bay last summer!
I hope he fails!
Waterston_Fan 06-25-2009, 04:10 PM You know, this is the Jets' fault!! They shouldn't have released him!!
Mr. Television 06-25-2009, 04:45 PM I can't wait until the first Packer-Viking game. It's going to make for great television. lol
Big C 06-25-2009, 05:26 PM I shudder at the Lambeau atmosphere when they play.
It could be as ugly as when Terrell Owens went to Philly.
TVFactFan 06-27-2009, 04:18 PM This is like Mcanbb going to DALLAS in 9 years-lol

I find it inexcusable and am disgusted that you are wishing an injury on another player.
That is just despicable and beyond words!
I'm not a fan of what Favre's doing, but to wish someone gets hurt- that is appalling!

It's one thing to say you can't stand the guy- I also don't like him- but the fact that you'd take glee in a man hurting himself... :angryfire :angryfire :angryfire :angryfire :angryfire

I would also laugh if he broke his leg. The guy is a MORON he is too old to play football and should know when to quit. All Favre is doing is making a joke out of the NFL, I also hope the Vikings go 0-16 this year.

He is THE most annoying.
I used to think it was Terrell Owens, but at least he's not a flip-flopper on whether he plays or not.
