With today being Father's Day, it is only fitting that the actor who played one of the greatest fathers in television history, Steven Keaton, is having a birthday today. Happy 62nd Birthday to Michael Gross. :)

She also was Emmy-nominated as Nancy Lawrence Maitland, the oldest daughter on the drama Family. Ironically, her future TV son Michael J. Fox appeared on one episode. Other episodes featured her mother, actress Whitney Blake (who with Meredith's stepfather created One Day at a Time) and her then-husband David Birney. Can you believe Meredith is now a grandmother? She has two grandkids now. Many happy returns to this wonderful actress and beautiful lady. :birthday:

No character on FT (Alex included) made me laugh more than Steven Keaton. He was indeed a great dad, and Michael Gross was just perfect in the role. I always found it so cool that he and his TV wife share the exact same birthdate. What are the odds? :birthday: Michael Gross!!

I don't know, but Meredith seems to be much better known for Family Ties than for Family.

She was a regular, but wasn't in every single episode. I think sometimes they referred to Nancy and her son, Timmy, as being out of town.
