When I was young, most of what I watched after school was live action comedy or adventure, like Batman, Gilligan's Island, Bewitched, Munsters, Addams Family, etc.

There were some local children show hosts like WOC's Captain Ernie who would mostly show old Hanna Barbera cartoons like Lippy the Lion, Wally Gator, Ruff and Reddy, etc.

Of course when I got into college in the 80s He-Man was a bit hit! :)

Same ones I watched! Except I don't think Gummi Bears lasted far enough into the 90s for me to see it.

I always thought it was cool how certain cartoons never became outdated, they just aired over and over again. I would always watch the Flintstones and the Jetsons and was shocked when my dad said that he watched them when he was a kid too.

My dad is a major Jetsons fan - and has been since the 60s. I agree -those cartoons are great. :cool:

The Flintstones, Mighty Mouse, Jetsons, Magilla Gorilla, Tom and Jerry, Popeye, Scooby Doo, Bullwinkle, Hoppity Hooper, and the pre 1948 Merrie Melodies/Looney Tunes.

Jetsons, Banana Splits (some of the stuff they showed was animated), Bugs Bunny, Popeye, Tom and Jerry

When I was a kid in the late 1960s and early 1970s, the only places for cartoons were the four Los Angeles-area TV stations: KTLA, KTTV, KHJ, and KCOP. On these channels I mostly watched the Warner Brothers cartoons (Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, and all the rest) and the Flintstones. I also watched "Kimba" "Speed Racer", and "Gigantor" on KBSC, the local UHF channel.

everything on Nick and some stuff on Cartoon Network.

I was more so a Goosebumps, Are You Afraid of the Dark? kid, after school and all that.

But I liked Inspector Gadget, Looney Tunes, Hey Arnold!, The Flintstones, Arthur, The Jetsons, Looney Tunes and a bunch others.
