This is one of the funniest episodes, I think. The chicken scenes at the end are so funny! The whole premise is.

A bit arrogant of Thirston to have Gilligan waste his time collecting all those feathers and then just rejecting them!

Do you think the scientists would have been funnier if one of them weren't a straight man and they were both goofy?

Why is Gilligan so obsessed with tending to that glue? The Professor just needed a little bit, I thought, to fix the lens and after he is finished, Gilligan is still bothering with the glue.

It's kind of crazy that Lovey has no idea what a lens is!

There was a debate some time ago perhaps on this board about whether the whole thing at the end was Maryann's fault or not. How so? I didn't get that.

Didn't Gilligan make 3 big mistakes in this episode? The first one was dropping the lens and breaking it - which necessitated the glue. The second one was putting a lid on the pot of glue, which later exploded. And the third mistake was running and tripping over the leg of the Mars explorer. So I think the blame falls squarely on Gilligan.

One of my favorite episodes. I'm looking forward to watching it again!

One astronaut [either Booth Coleman or Arthur Peterson]:"CHicken People"
Other [either Coleman or Peterson to the opther] "What's that BIG bird man doing to that LITTLE bird man...?"
The First:"Well, I don't know, but it's looks like he's trying to force him to lay an egg".
