The bones from the Kolb boathouse have been positively identified as the bones of a man who committed suicide in the canyon area in 1933. His identity remains as mystery, as does the fate of Glen and Bessy Hyde.

Thanks for the link. I always had a little feeling that the skeleton wasn't Glen's. I wonder how much time had passed between the time of the suicide and 1933, or if there's any way to find out.

Thanks for the update. At least now there's more definitive proof that it's not Glen Hyde.

I would highly recommend the Dimock book about the Hyde mystery. It was a really fascinating read, and they do discuss UM, it's portrayal of Glen and Bessie, and the mysterious old woman who claimed to be Bessie Hyde.
