There has been plenty of talk for the past month-plus about whether Brett Favre will join the Vikings for the 2009 season. But throughout this process, Favre has remained quiet. That silence will end at 8 p.m. Monday when the retired quarterback appears live in studio on the debut of “Joe Buck Live” on HBO.

Buck, who is Fox’s lead play-by-play voice for the NFL and baseball, was added to the HBO lineup after Bob Costas departed to start working for Major League Baseball’s new network.

I hope Green Bay defeats the Vikings this year if Favre is their starter.

It didn't bother me when Favre joined the Jets as it's a whole different conference. But in agreeing to join a team (Minn) that can hurt the franchise he did so much for (GB), I have to question what if anything is going through Favre's head. The Packers fans supported him for years, and now he's going to square up against them by leading one of their biggest rivals?

Just my opinion, but in the case of someone who's already accomplished all he needed to and then some to be a Hall of Famer, I think the Green Bay fans should give be infuriated in a big way.
