Queen Latifah is set to join the celebrity scent sect as she prepares to launch her first royal fragrance. Queen will hit stores in September and the rapper-turned-actress can't wait to start spraying.

She tells WENN, "The company is the same company that did Paris Hilton's perfume and they just did a deal with Jay-Z. They approached me about developing a scent and I thought if I could create something that is unique to me and special enough for women to want to wear it and maybe some guys, then I will be very happy with that. I personally like to wear a nice scent, and, if I like it, I'm buying it for years and years - so that could be really cool."

I probably won't buy it, since I'm an Elizabeth Arden girl myself, but it's always fun to check out these celebrity fragrences! Speaking of Queen Latifah, I saw a CD of hers today when I was shopping. I know she sings, but I didn't know she had made an album. Has anyone heard anything about it? I think it's self-titled, but I didn't pay much attention.
