I'm beginning to think Spike has given up on UM. I hope I'm wrong. The last few times I've checked my onscreen cable listing a few weeks ahead it would show at least one UM a day on Spike but then when that week came the listings for UM are gone. Its anyone's guess if or when it will be back on there.

Does spike really have that many die hard fans of "married with children"? It seems they saturate their schedule with that show.

I hope UM does come back to Spike eventually. Maybe they are planning to reedit episodes or maybe they going to do new cases.

For crying out loud, just make a channel that shows Scrubs 24/7. It's getting into House and CSI territory.

is it supposed to be ongoing that they show UM? It seems like it has had its run. Cases were repeating a lot and many of them had been solved. The heavy metal music was starting to annoy me. The segments were no longer scary.

Next, on Unsolved Mysteries:

When will the hacked up episodes return to Spike TV?
--------

Spike TV and Cosgrove Muerer to UM fans: Joke's on you. We never really cared anyway.

I tried to care. I really, really did.

One of the worst things to happen on television (ever!) was when Unsolved Mysteries went off the air.

Good gosh I check the schedule all the time and no one really watches THAT much CSI, do they???

I thought Spike had a contracty to show UM for a certain number of years, correct?

Yep, I cared, too. And quite often, because of watching a segment over and over again, I would catch new clues or notice something in a totally different way than I had had first perceived it.

I think that kind of thing is important in solving the UMs. Reviewing the info certainly can't hurt. It's still entertaining to the viewers, but also serves the practical purpose of a viewer catching something that wasn't noticed before that could help steer an investigation into the right direction.

Spike is making a terrible mistake by completely ignoring UM and its fans, imo.

It's not just SPIKE, it is the producers at Cosgrove- Meurer too. Robert Stack would be so pissed at them if he were alive today, how they are just taking the mone and laughing, not giving a **** about solving cases.

Me too, but I could care less if they ever bring it back again. Too bad a channel like Bio, ID, A&E, or TruTV couldn't pick up the show and air the old episodes and add recent updates when needed somehow instead of this lame attempt to revamp it. They could have saved a lot of money and used the money they spent on revamping it to release proper DVDs of the show.

I bet UM on Spike won't be on for five years, they should release new DVDs with Robert Stack.
