Happy 78th Birthday Marla Gibbs. She is one of the few remaining Castmembers still alive. hope she stays around for many years to come.

Both Marla and Sherman are getting up in age, Which is scary.

Happy Birthday, Marla Gibbs! I am currently going through the entire series right now (the last 5 seasons taped off of TVLand, of course, with some eps I have never seen!) and I am just now at Season 3 where Florence is the live-in maid. IMO this is where the show really gets good because George and Florence's "Battle of the Wits" is always hysterical!

Aside from minor cast member Ned Wertimer who is still alive at 85, I believe Marla is the oldest living major cast member. Speaking of Wertimer, if he lives another couple of years he will surpass Zara Cully and Isabel Sanford as the show's oldest lived cast member at age 87. I guess Ralph can afford good healthcare with all those tips George gave him all those years!

Wow did not know Ned was that old. He not look like he was in his 50's when he played on that show
