I don't remember telling you about them , but they are the sh*it! I like that song, and "Darlin' Darlin' Baby."

It's funny, when I was little, my mother use to listen to the O' Jays, that her all-time favorie group. I remember her dancing to them while she was in the kitchen cooking dinner! LOL She and my older siblings put me on to old school R&B and funk!

I haven't sampled any of the other songs yet but 100% sure none of them won't be as good as used to be my girl

I think you will equally like Darlin' Darlin Baby. That's my favorite. Let me know about the song when you sampled it.

I love the O'Jays - "For The Love of Money" and "Love Train" are just the tip of the iceberg.

I'm not really that big on 70's Philly soul but the O'Jays do have some songs I do like.

I am surprised you never heard that song before. Go ask your mother about it.

Love Train was fabulous!! LOL I loved these guys - was always hugely into funk and R&B and the Philly sound (along with Motown).

Like Garfield's mom, I still dance around whenever I hear them and do my pathetically white chick version of "The Pips" dance (or Temptations - same deal). LOL

The Ojays did make some classic songs. Use To Be My Girl song is alright but they've made better songs than that. I like the songs Cry Together, This Time Baby, Brandy, Help Somebody Please, Strokety Stroke, Travelin At The Speed Of Thought, So Glad I Got You Girl, Stand Up, For The Love Of Money, Now That We Found Love, Put Your Hands Together, Survival, Family Reunion, You And Me, She's Only A Woman, Livin For The Weekend, I Love Music, Message In The Music, Darlin Darlin Baby, Cause I Want You Back Again. They moved to Cleveland, Ohio in the 70's from their hometown Canton, Ohio. That was sad what happened to Walter and Eddie's group member who sang with them in the 70's. I can't remember his name but he got robbed and shot in his house in Cleveland and died. RIP to Eddie's sons Gerald and Sean Levert. I like some of Levert's songs like Cassanova, Baby I'm Ready, Just Coolin, Pop Pop Pop Goes My Mind, My Forever Love. I listened to a couple of Gerald's solo albums and they sucked because he sang too many love songs. He didn't have that many uptempo party songs. I like the song he did with Keith Sweat and Johnny Gill called My Body when they formed the group LSG.
