in "broadway is not ," the actor says in Granville Clark called Tex.

Tex is also the name of a comics character, Tex Willer, a comic strip of my country (italy) very famous (at least in italy), who loves me and my father.

is a coincidence or the name of the character played by Granville have inspired the character of Tex Willer ?

I hope not, because Granville Clark is a character that I hate.

however, the story that follows has nothing to do with Granville Tex Willer

the only thing in common is to be two characters in the west

i think its just a coincidence, I can't remember what the name of the play they were doing in that episode was, but it was either made up, or something very old - and the comic you are referring to is pretty much unknown here in America.
