Have you ever noticed that the show Dinosaurs is a rip-off of Family Matters?
The dad appears to be dressed and modeled after Carl, and the son looks and acts exactly like Eddie! There's also a gandmother...and it just seems like they tried to copy Family Matters. Is it made by the same people?

It seems like more of a ripoff of The Simpsons to me.

Homer: That tree's been in Springfield since the time of our forefathers. Give it back, or we'll bust in there and take it!

Tow truck man: Bust in here and take it? You must be stupider than you look.

Homer: Stupider like a fox!

When you think about it, all TV shows are pretty much rip-offs of each other.

I remember several years ago when I first watched this show thinking it was an awful lot like Family Matters. I thought I was the only one. The son on the show was definitely alot like Eddie, and the father dinosaur was exactly like Carl. It's good to see that i'm not the only one who noticed the similarities.

That is one of the jokes of the show, that it plays out all the common sterotypes.

Ya know, I'm getting rather sick of this Simpsons fetish so many people have.

The Simpsons is not the be-all end-all of television. In fact, the Simpsons is just a rip-off of The Flinstones! And The Flinstones were an animated Honeymooners!

(Of course, after Family Guy debuted, the Simpsons became a cheap Family Guy rip-off, so it's all circular).

But anyway, Dinosaurs was a family-based sitcom. There's only so many family members, none of 'em exactly original.

In a third season episode of The Simpsons, the family is watching Dinosaurs and Bart or Lisa says something like, "Wow, it's like they copied our lives and put it on TV."

It's obvious what the Simpsons creators had to say about this show.
