Why did it go off the air? It was like one day it just dissapeared?

Yeah, it did kind of disappear, didn't it? :confused: I don't know exactly what happened to it, but I think it had something to do with low ratings, and it wasn't getting as strong of ratings as they hoped, so they shevled it. They were speculating about possibly restarting production on the series again after a few months, but that never materialized, and it never returned to ABC.

I enjoyed watching this show when it was on. It was one of the many shows I watched while growing up. :typing:

I was reminded of the show because of Brett Butler's recent appearance on "The Late Show with David Letterman." Did anyone else catch her on there? She was extremely funny on there, and it sounds as if she is doing stand up commedy again. :talk:

Grace Under Fire was discontinued, according to her Bio and the sitcoms listings, because she fell back into her past abuse problem.. A marked difference was noticed in her 4th season and and then was cancelled during the 5th season.. She had cut her hair short and let it go dark and the show was obviously in trouble.....Very sad, because I thought the show was great the first three-four seasons and she, a talent to be envied.........
