UMfan77 06-09-2009, 09:30 AM In my opinion, all the evidence points to Sam Patel being guilty of her murder. These are my reasons: 1. They were seen together eating at Applebee's 2. She worked for him and she was going to quit 3. His vomit was found at the murder scene 4. According to Sam Patel's wife, he was drenched in sweat when he came home that night. (he said he was out riding his bike, YEAH RIGHT!!) 5. I believe he had a life insurance policy on Joan TracyLynnS 06-09-2009, 09:46 AM This is the case where he convinced her that it was common business practice for each business partner to have a substantial life insurance policy on the other, in case of death, so that the business could keep running without the vital, other parter. I also believe he told her that having those insurance policies on each other made potential investors feel more at ease placing their money into the new business. The problem with that is Joan was pretty much just a secretary and was making a secretary's wage. She wasn't actually a business partner needing to insure her life for $250,000 with Patel as the beneficiary. A quarter of a million bucks, back then... Patel did it, and planned it ahead of time, imo. TracyLynnS 06-09-2009, 09:49 AM Oh, and I don't know if spike has aired this one or not. I'm almost positive that I saw it back when it was on lifetime. crystaldawn 06-09-2009, 10:29 AM is anyone familar with the case of joan jefferies if so wat did u think about it ,has it been solved ,ans has this case aired on spike? I definitely think Sam Patel was responsible. One of Joan's daughters has posted on here and there have been no arrests in the case. Yeah, this mystery seems about as clear-cut as they get on UM. I really don't know why Patel hasn't been charged. There certainly seems to be strong circumstancial evidence as to motive, means, and opportunity. I wonder if UM left something out that would impact upon the prosecutor's decision. atomicfizz 06-09-2009, 05:06 PM Yes, this one has run on Spike. |
