I was wondering why was Lamont not in The 1980's Series Sanford

Yeah, she wasn't initially there from the beginning, you could tell the producers brought her in to try to boost the ratings, because the tradeoff insults between the Fred and the maid was very lame. That maid was a poor actress and could not deliver very well.

i know they tried do another aunt esther and fred thing with her but it didnt work was funny a lil bit but im glad aunt esther came back just would been better if she stayed longer.

i can see her cal fred i guess her son living in the same house together would been lot of laughs

I think (and this is only my opinion) the reason why Demond Wilson did not appear in the Sanford and Son spin off was he was dealing with a lot in his life during the 1980's. I read (or heard) that he was battling a cocaine addiction.

Lamont had Cocaine Problems.
