Question for those of you that are old enough 'like myself' to remember watching Happy Days in it's original run...

Jenny Piccolo was never seen on camera until 1980..

Did you have a visual image of her?? Did Silvers fit the image of what you pictured her to be...

personally I pictured her to be a lot less attractive...but they got the man hungry part down..

As for clarence...who could ever imagine a midget?? However I did picture him to be black for some reason....

It is getting pretty hard to come up with original thoughts on this series now isn't it??:)

I thought Cathy Silvers did an excellent job in very difficult circumstances. Joannie had been talking about Jenny for years and everybody in the audience had preconceived ideas of what Jenny looked like, what her personality was like etc. So Cathy had a lot to live up to when she stepped into the role and as I said she did an excellent job. As for Clarence I think they should of left him unseen like Vera on Cheeers and Maris on Frasier.

i liked both characters - definitely caught off guard by Clarence, and I thought Cathy was great

I dunno why, but in the German Dubbed Episodes, Clarence's Gender changed from male to female and back (almost) every time somebody is talking about him. Shrugs.

he must've had a stool thing to stand on I guess - his height never seemed an issue to him.

I LOVED it how the swinging door to the kitchen was normal for all those years and then how in the first episode where we got to see Clarence, all of a sudden their is a little door that opens up in the center of the big door just for him :lol:

I figured out why they hired a "little person" to play Clarence. It's because he was a short order cook!! :lol:
