I didn't care for a lot of the fourth season episodes. Scoobiedoo30 06-07-2009, 03:00 PM did the ratings ever Slip because Kotter was not on any of the episodes that he missed hatwink 06-16-2009, 02:52 PM did the ratings ever Slip because Kotter was not on any of the episodes that he missed That, and in part, due to John Travolta not being with the show.Basically, the Sweathogs were stagnated in high school. Sadly, the last episode the entire cast appeared was the fourth season episode where Vinnie loses Woodman in the hospital. A pretty funny episode. Schmoopie 07-06-2009, 02:14 AM I've never seen the series finale. Which cast members weren't in it? Dr. Thong 07-06-2009, 03:41 PM I've never seen the series finale. Which cast members weren't in it? Travolta was the only one missing. Gabe Kaplan made a "special guest appearance" in the final episode of the show named after his character. The final episode wasn't a true series finale, however. It was a storyline involving Epstein and Washington going after the same job and one of them not getting it. They end up having a boxing match to determine who'll end up taking the job. At the end of the show, they were all 25 years old and still in high school. About the only difference was that Horshack was now a married man. Scoobiedoo30 07-06-2009, 03:50 PM who was Horshack Married to howilu 07-06-2009, 05:53 PM who was Horshack Married to In a fourth season episode, he married Mary Johnson. She was played by Irene Arranga. Dr. Thong 07-08-2009, 06:42 PM In a fourth season episode, he married Mary Johnson. She was played by Irene Arranga. He got married in the second-to-last episode. I always thought that episode suffered a little because John Travolta wasn't in it. And we got Beau (ugh) in his place. magellan333 08-08-2009, 06:18 PM Travolta was the only one missing. Gabe Kaplan made a "special guest appearance" in the final episode of the show named after his character. I remember an episode when Mr. Kotter walks on the set to counsel one of the Sweathogs and the crowd just goes crazy. It seemed strange seeing how he was supposed to be the lead. MickeyMac 08-09-2009, 03:26 PM The final episode of the series was supposed to lead into the next season but the show got cancelled because the ratings took a big drop. I saw an interview where Gabe Kaplan had suggested having the sweathogs graduate high school and Mr. Kotter take a teaching job in a community college where his students turned out to be none other that the sweathogs, but the idea was refused. I guss Kaplan knew that people were not buying that 23 year old guys were playing 16 year old kids. I guss Kaplan knew that people were not buying that 23 year old guys were playing 16 year old kids. Then, after four or five years of college, the boys would go for their PhDs. That show coulda ran for ten years...easy!;) |
