View Full Version : RTN will it ever go national and take over TVLands place? AmazingSting 06-06-2009, 02:36 AM I would love to see a new station replace the mess that is TVLand.:) Tubehead 06-06-2009, 10:31 AM I been watching magnum pi pi and the a-team a lot. i hope it does take over tv land. clj2 06-06-2009, 02:59 PM I used to want RTN when they had the CBS shows, but now their shows are pretty boring to me. Very few sitcoms and their new acquisitions aren't really impressive for me. They were REALLY good early last year. Shame they lost all of those CBS sitcoms and even the dramas, their library (definately sitcom-wise) is much better than Universal's. Jude The Obscure 06-06-2009, 10:28 PM even if you don't like a lot of what they are playing, they are still doing something a lot of channels aren't--playing old shows! dakert 06-06-2009, 11:05 PM I will NEVER!! trust a network again--I am sticking with my DVDs janet42 06-07-2009, 08:31 AM I hope RTN will go national too. It will be great to see those old shows again. :) TVFactFan 06-07-2009, 02:01 PM I'm sure RTN will follow the path of all the other channels at some point and start showing NEWER shows Pavan 06-07-2009, 03:51 PM RTN is national. It will be available in 75% of homes by July 1. They are never going to be a cable channel that will air the same thing nationwide. RTN is intended to be localized for local affiliates to air what they want on primarily digital feeds. B&W fan 06-08-2009, 02:29 PM RTN is national. It will be available in 75% of homes by July 1. For those of us with Direct TV it is not a national channel. :( B&W "and oh, I wish it was available to me" Fan wkomorow 06-08-2009, 02:56 PM RTN (or maybe its my local affiliate) has a scheduling issue. With Battlestar, they will show the same episode three weeks apart, they will show part two of a cliffhanger without showing part one, etc. I'd like to see more comedies, especially Dennis the Menance, Our Miss Brooks, etc. OOliver 06-09-2009, 01:58 PM I just found RTN on my cable service, in which my local NBC affiliate also schedules a 10 PM newscast which I like. However, the channel is buried where no one can find it (it's on channel 810 on my digital system, which is the only '800' channel available - (Nick is on channel 35, TV Land is on Channel 43 - so something is wrong). So far, I'm not that thrilled with their schedule either - there's so much 'A Team' I could take for one week - or one day.
