I'm especially interested in footage from 1990 to '93. This when they had a cutout logo (currently my avatar) and were called "video hits one". I accidentally erased alot of what I used to have taped, but still have 16 almost full music videos, as well as a partial Standup Spotlight with commercials (Rosie O Donnell hosted it).

I also got back into it again during 1998-2003, when they did Behind the Music and other documentaries. I have much more of those, along with a countdown of 100 greatest videos and some other misc footage I could trade.

UPDATED:

Here's everything I have off the top of my head. Most is in decent to good quality (which I'll put on DVDs). I'll edit if I find more, I'm only going up to about the point they totally abandoned music related programming:

Early 90s:

-16 almost full music videos:
BEATLES STUFF
Got My Mind Set On You - George
Ticket to Ride
Let 'Em In - Wings
My Brave Face - Paul
Hello Goodbye

Black or White - MJ
Illegal Alien - Genesis
Even Better Then the Real Thing - U2
Why - Annie Lennox

Take Me Home Tonight - Eddie Money
Tonight Tonight Tonight - Genesis...cuts in about 1/3 of the way
the second half of Georgia on My Mind - Michael Bolton
Sweetest Taboo - Sade
Nightshift - The Commodores
Every Breath You Take- Police
Boys of Summer - Don Henley

-Most of a "Standup Spotlight" show (with retro commecials and promos):
cuts in on a chick named Anita White (most of it)
Robert G. Lee
Bill Engvall
also has Rosie ODonnell as the MC

-The very beginning of another show, Rosie's intro and a few minutes by a guy named Steve Mittleman (my tape cuts off during his act, sorry)

1998 to 2002/03:

-Behind the Music episodes (mostly rock and metal)

Tom Petty
Motley Crue
Def Leppard
Rick Springfield
Poison
Weird Al Yankovic
Bon Jovi
Ted Nugent
Megadeth
Metallica
ACDC
Ozzy Osbourne
Madonna
Billy Idol
Lindsey Buckingham
Go Gos
Huey Lewis
John Mellencamp
Rod Stewart
Police
partial 1984 episode (only has the first segment, sorry!)

-Retrospective of early Madonna ('83-86) with ten music videos, trivia and misc clips. Hosted by Cynthia Garrett, from 1999.

-3 of a 5 part series called "VH1 presents the 80s" from 2000, hosted by Shannon Doherty. I have 1, 2 and 5
(pop and the advent of music videos
heavy metal
politics/the economy/social impact).

-100 Greatest Videos countdown from 2001 (a search should have the song list). Has all videos in excellent quality too.

-Most of an American Bandstand retrospective, lots of interviews and clips of past shows, Dick Clark is highly interviewed. The tape cuts off about 30 mins into it.

-Ultimate Albums - Slippery When Wet by Bon Jovi

-partial 25 Ultimate Power Ballads (starts in at #18)

-Top 10 Driving Songs, special hosted by Rachel Perry.... only has partial videos, along with her interviewing some race car dude. Cuts in during "Legs" The videos
(Legs - ZZ Top
Are You Gonna Go My Way- Lenny Kravitz
Little Red Corvette- Prince
Panama - Van Halen
Rock in the USA - John Mellencamp
I Cant Drive 55- Sammy Hagar
Born to Run - Bruce Springsteen
Highway to Hell - ACDC, sung live by Brian Johnson

I taped that as a kid, but lost it a few years later, I'd LOVE to see that again. :D

BTW, I'm willing to make copies of everything I personally have (or monetary compensation if I don't have as much) from VH1's music years (about 2003 and before) for everyone.

BUMP

Just wanted to give this another shot. In the past year I've acquired ALOT of vintage MTV footage from '86-92. Mainly alternative rock videos from 120 Minutes my friend sent me, along with some misc other classic rock and new wave videos. In fact I have about 10 120 Minutes episodes in addition to what's left of my VH1 stuff.

Thought I'd give this another try. Early 90s VH1 is so rare, I hope SOMEBODY has something out there still recorded. :) If early to mid 80s MTV mixes are still preserved and floating around, why wouldn't old school vh1 be too? I've gotten tons more vintage MTV mixes I could supply for a trade too.
