Buying soda by the individual can makes no sense, I can purchase 12 packs of Pepsi products at 4 for $11 at one store when they run a sale and I can get them much cheaper at CVS if I play my cards right by buying items that give full refunds with extra bucks. For example, CVS recently had Pepsi products 4 for $11 but at least one had to be diet Pepsi which was fine by me. I purchased 2 Speed Stick deodorants at $3.99 each and a tube of Colgate toothpaste for $2.99. I paid for those items first, and got back $10.97 in extra bucks. I then purchased the 4 12 packs for $11 and after using my extra bucks, I paid less than a $1 for the drinks.

Usually my mom buys the soda when it's on sale but I have a tendancy buy one pack of 12 two or three times a week because I don't want my mom to know how much I've been drinking.. I can drink like four cans a day at least.

So this last week, I've been cutting down. This past week, I've had 3 a day and I wait till maybe noon or 11am to have a soda then one in the afternoon and another at dinner time.

When I go to North Carolina for my visit, my sister is probably going to pick on me as to my drinking soda so I need to slow down now. She did that to me a few years ago and said, 4 is a lot..

I felt like telling her to mind her own business.

I bet there are lots of other people who drink too much sodas.

If I'm at home and my mom sees me have a glass of milk with breakfast or something she'll tell me thanks then kiss me on the cheek. I'm like.. um, okay and I didn't want to be commended or anything over drinking.

I'm a clerk at a grocery store and I think prices our prices are actually pretty good, compared to some other places. QFC has TERRIBLE prices and it's all the same stuff you can get at my work (Safeway) and when it comes to meat, seafood, bakery and produce I actually think we have better stuff. Our deli is pretty good too. We always have really great deals on a ton of stuff. There's very rarely that you don't save on anything when you use a club card.

QFC is Kroger for people back east. Kroger might be cheaper then QFC though.

I read that the official USDA cost of food has risen to $600 a month for a family of 4 on the Thrifty Plan.
