My vote goes to Ronald McDonald, he has always freaked me out. I guess it is the whole "clown" thing.

I've gotta go against the majority and go with the Jack-in-the-Box. Much scarier if you ask me :)

We don't have Jack-in-the-Box around here so luckily I don't have to put up with that creepy mascot at all. The King gets my vote. He is downright frightening and sometimes when I see the commercial, I actually have to change the channel. It's like I expect him to pull out a chainsaw and go on a killing spree or something. He's psycho!

Same here. We don't have jack In THe Box in Sweden I think. It looka kinda creepy though.

Burger King. There is nothing lovable about that creature... And he clearly hypnotizes his victims into enjoying his greasy badness!

 You know that a mascot is scary when it even freaks out my sister's in-laws.

I'd have to go with Ronald Mcdonald. That clown always gave me the creeps as a child. He was once doing an appearance at a local Mcdonald's when I was about five, and I kid you not when I say I hid under the table when he came my way with his balloons, and toys. Thankfully he didn't try to lure me from underneath that table.

OMG, that Burger King guy is a freak! When I was about five or six, Santa Claus gave me a Burger King doll, but I remember he was a cartoon character. Then for a long time they didn't have any mascot. I think they should have stuck to the cartoon character. MUCH less scary!!! I'll see if I can find a picture of him!

I'd have to say the Burger King mascot (with Jack-in-the-Box a close second). I never understood why so many people today are afraid of
clowns. But I grew up with Clarabell, as part of the Howdy Doody
generation, and I guess we kids had a totally different image of clowns
during that "age of innocence." Clarabell, Red Skelton's Freddie the Freeloader, and even Bozo were our friends back then.

Trivia note: Did you know King Moody (who played Shtarker, Siegfried's
right-hand Kaos man, on Get Smart) played the role of Ronald McDonald for eighteen years and appeared in more than 1,000 television
commercials?

I don't see Jack a lot, as we have zero JitBs here, but all the commercials I've seen have been ok. Ronald never scared me either.

I'm pretty sure they are not in the midwest. I went to one in Dallas when I was visiting my brother. I thought their food was gross though, so I don't think we are missing out on anything.
