The Office - Because of the dvd sets

Samantha Who? - I bought the first season dvd, now I'm disappointed its canned.

Most old shows I don't remember watching for the first time, but I do remember the first Brady Bunch I watched, the one when Marcia got braces.
I was hooked.

Friends

I was flipping channels on the Saturday Night right after Christmas last year and caught 2 episodes on my local CW station. I was immediately hooked(I never watched it in it's original run). That Monday I started watching it daily and a few days later discovered it on YouTube, where I ended up watching almost the entire series in the span of 2 weeks. I watched almost 100 episodes in 3 days alone.

Desinging Women was like that for me. The first time i saw it i was in LOVE with it. everything about it was utter perfection to me. I first saw it during it's original run in the 1980's and i have never not watched it. It was on Lifetime for nearly a decade so that's mostly where i saw it, but now thanks to internet and DVD i still get to watch it all the time.

Also, The Golden Girls and Facts Of life were like that for me too. i loved them the second i saw them.

Others: Saved by the bell, 90210, blossom, punky brewster and california dreams.

The last episode of "The Drew Carey Show" aired on September 8, 2004 (All Season 9 episodes were pushed back until the summer of 2004 because ABC obviously didn't care about the show by that time). In that last episode, Drew married Kellie Newmark, and she gave birth to a boy that very same day! (They named him Drew Jr.)

NewsRadio - I watched the very first episode when it first aired and I became a fan instantly. My sister was taping the show at the time, so I was able to watch each episode a bunch of times waiting for the next episode to air. This is the reason I know the first season by heart, lol.

Good question. Actually, I didn't watch it in the last couple of seasons. I liked it best when it was just centred around the immediate "gang". It started to get a bit outlandish for me after about the 3rd season or so. :(

Oh yeah, The Golden Girls, I was hooked on that from the beginning, but there was alot of anticipation for that, with Bea Arthur, Betty White and Rue McClanahan on a sitcom again!

Well, ABC pretty much ditched the series half way through season 8. Season 9 was just a free for all in the summer. I thought it was still nice to have a series finale of a show. I thought it was fitting.

For me, I started watching Wonder Years and then was instantly in love with the show. Another one would be Kenan & Kel when I was younger and it was in its original run.

Most of the shows (sitcoms) that I enjoy from the 70s, 80s, and 90s pretty much I was sort of instantly into it because I would always watch my sister or family who had discovered them first so it wasn't me personally at the start but then I indirectly got instantly into many shows like Full House, Fresh Prince, Home Improvement, Family Matters, Boy Meets World, Step by Step, etc.

Also, Diff'rent Strokes was actually one where I saw an episode one time (when TNN aired it in 2002) and then I became obsessed for a year or two. Now, I actually find the show too predictable at times but I haven't even seen all the episodes yet!

American Dad. I fell in love with it from the previews and teaser trailer on super bowl night in 2005. I remember setting up my VCR to record it because I was too tired to stay awake for the premiere but I remember watching it a billion times until the second episode premiered in April of that year. I still have the whole entire pilot memorized 4 years later.

I had never watched FOX when it first come out. One Sunday Night I was at my grandma's and couldn't find anything to watch. I instantly liked their Sunday night lineup:

The Simpsons
Married With Children
In Living Color

I have never laughed so hard in one night. I had no idea what In Living Color was and they did a skit "Great Moments In Black History". It said King:The Early years.

I was expecting to see a documentary about MLK but was shocked to see it was a skit about Don King as a child. I laughed about it all night and was talking about it at school the next day.

funny you should say that...

i hadn't really ever watched FOX either until one night i turned on the tv bored out of my mind and discovered a series that changed my life called "Beverly Hills, 90210". not only did i become INSTANTLY HOOKED but i later discovered that all my female friends watched that show and it became part of my social life to talk about that show and dissect every aspect of it. And then, when "Melrose Place" premiered it added to the fun!

I was in college when 90210 and Melrose Place were on the air. That was the easiest way to start a conversation with a girl in college. Just mention what happened the night before and suddenly you had all of these girls in front of you. I noticed that other guys started watching the shows so they could be part of the conversation.

I was in grade school when it first came on in 1990 (probrally 2nd grade) but my friends and i all got hooked around 1992-1993 (so that would be like 4th grade) and it's been part of my life ever sense.

I agree, guys did watch the show a lot of them but some of them pretended to watch for their girlfriends sake but were really actually hooked.

I actually never saw an episode of In Living color until i was in early college and the show had long been off the air, i caught it on a rerun when it used to air on FX. i liked it a lot, i LOVED Keenan Ivory Wayans.

i do recall a show called TRUE COLORS that aired around the same time frame, do you remember that show?

I remember TRUE COLORS. Wasn't it about a interracial couple and their family??? I never thought it was that funny but it came on before Parker Lewis Can't Lose so I watched sometimes. I use to dress like Parker Lewis when that show was on. (Yes, I very embarassed to admit that). These shows aired during my high school and college years. So obviously I am older that you. LOL

Yes you are correct True Colors was about an interracial couple. I only recall vaguely recall it. But i used to watch it now and then, i remember since i was so young my parents thought it was "risque" for me to watch that show... I LOVED Parker Lewis Can't Loose, it was one of my favorite shows "synchronize swatches"... LOL, i had and still have a crush on Corin Nemeck.

I always liked shows aimed at older audiences than i was, so we probrally watched a lot of the same shows. I was always trying to keep up with my older brothers girlfriends and stuff like that, so i would watch whatever they watched to try and keep up.

My parents also thought True Colors was a risque show but I was old enough to watch anyway. Isn't it funny, today nobody would think that was a risque show. I use to do the "synchronize swatches" with my friends. Fox was the network to watch in those days. It still is but back then there were fewer choices.

The truth is i don't really even watch FOX that much anymore, except for BONES, MENTAL and AMERICAN IDOL. and probally GLEE in the fall. I haven't been a FOX viewer on a regular basis since the early half of this decade when they abandoned the nighttime soap and cancelld Party Of Five, Ally McBeal, 90210, Melrose Place and Boston Public.
