Friends

Frasier - though I did tune for when most of the cast members of Cheers appearing in one episode for Cliff Clavin's retirement from the Post Office

Desparate Housewives

American Idol - Still very overrated and still never could get into this show one bit.

Andy Griffith Show, The

Beverly Hillbillies - could never get into this show or its Hillbilly trinity spin-offs.

Miami Vice - I like Don Johnson and the show's theme song, but this show comes off as an MTV version of cops and robbers. However, I did enjoy Don Johnson on "Nash Bridges" w/ Cheech Marin though.

I just don't really care for most of the 'blockbuster' 1990s/2000s sitcoms.

It's easier (and a shorter list) for me to make a list of shows I DID understand (popularity wise) and watched, than the ones I didn't!

The popular shows I watched (and understood the popularity) in no particular order...

Knots Landing
Mary Tyler Moore*
Rhoda*
All In the Family*
Carol Burnett Show*
Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour ('71-'74)*
Golden Girls
Laverne & Shirley
Designing Women
Cybill
Flying Nun*
Bewitched*
That Girl*
I Dream of Jeannie*
Facts of Life (Yes, believe it or not! Chalk it up to 'guilty pleasure')

*Some of my favorite shows from my childhood.

If the show is not on the list, then it probably is on the list titled "I don't understand the popularity of this show, and hardly ever watched it."

The Beverly Hillbillies - The one sitcom from the sixties that I can't stand.

The Sopranos - I've only seen an episode from A&E, so it's not fair to judge it from that, but I don't care for Mob related stuff. So I'm confident I wouldn't like this show unedited.

American Idol - I did care for this show. but after season three I gave up and have zero interest in this show. So I currently don't care for it.

Lost - Never got into it.
CSI, NCIS, Criminal Minds, any show where they look at dead bodies in the opening minutes.
American Idol - Not even at gunpoint.
Ghost Whisperer, Medium, Ghost Medium, Girl Ghost Show, etc.
Numbers - This show must be popular because it's been on the air for 5 seasons. Can anyone confirm this? Is it popular?
Two And A Half Men - Never cared for it.
Sopranos - After the episode where that stripper was beaten to death, i decided I really didn't want to watch those lovable yet flawed mobster scamps anymore.

The Honeymooner's- It doesnt strike a chord with me. I find it to be a snorefest

The Mary Tyler Moore Show- OK. I had hopes for this one. I was excited to try it and see a piece of television history. Unfortunately , after one viewing, this show doesn't do it for me. Its bland and I dislike all characters to some degree. The show isn't for me.

Friends- This one goes without saying

The Dick Van Dyke Show- Here's another example of show that fell flat for me. Expecting to like it , I watched an episode, and found that I did not enjoy it. I understand its one of the most popular shows of all time, but like The Mary Tyler Moore Show, I can't stand this show.

Happy Days - I'll be honest here , I never liked Happy Days to begin with. I only watched because of the 50s nostalgia.

The Andy Griffith Show- it feels to southern for me. It doesn't help that this show is to sweet and "cute". Its too much for me to stomach.

Alfred Hitchcock Presents- Mainly because of Hitchcock himself. Never was a fan of any of his work including his TV series

Dark Shadows- Maybe I've been watching the wrong episodes , but this show does not go well with me

The first 2 seasons of Happy Days were good because they were like home movies and stuck with the time period but after they added the live studio audience and everythingelse, the show went down the toilet.

Bob Newhart Show (Love Newhart though)I saw The Bob Newhart Show once back when TV Land aired it. TBNS didn't impress me then, however that was before I had ever seen the 80s Newhart and become a fan. Now I would definitely be more interested in seeing The Bob Newhart Show.

poker shows on GSNThose were the days. Poker shows dominated and took over Monday nights, but at least their overall schedule had a lot more variety. Before the fateful time Steve Harvey Feud came to the network and has had daily marathons for several years now.

You and me both! I think that The Bob Newhart Show was the best of his four comedies, and the better of the two longer-running ones.

Frasier
Malcolm in the Middle
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
The Monkees -- may not have been first run, is now in syndication
Hogan's Heroes -- MeTV airs it five nights a week, two episodes a night!

Amen to David Letterman! I could never stand him. I remember once reading he said he really didn't make jokes they were just sarcastic comments (I've never thought he was funny). He never seemed like a personable guy to me and I don't think he even seemed to like being on TV.

I have to completely disagree with you about Jeopardy though, I love it.

I'm definitely in the minority about Jeopardy. I just prefer game shows with gimmicks like Card Sharks and Press Your Luck.

Ed.David Letterman is a big baby. He whined for decades about not getting the Tonight Show, but his career hardly suffered. CBS treated Letterman like a king but he acted like they weren't good enough for him.
