In the 6th season episode "Read It And Weep", Jennifer wants to do a book report on The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain but learns that she can't because the book has been banned along with such other classics as The Catcher In the Rye, Slaughterhouse-Five and The Diary of Anne Frank. Jennifer believes that the book ban is wrong and risks a failing grade and suspension and goes a head and gives the book report anyway. If you were Jennifer what would you do? Would you give in to censorship or do what you think is right and give the book report.

As someone who is against censorship and loves books (including all those titles that were banned by Jennifer's school), I would risk the failing grade and suspension and give the book report.

I voted for No, because although I would want to do the book report, I wouldn't be as brave as Jennifer and would have ended up choosing another book to do a report on instead.

I love books too - although I do agree with censorship in certain cases. I wouldn't have seen the case with Huckleberry Finn, though. However, I just wouldn't have been brave enough to risk getting into trouble, so I would have chosen another book.

Frankly, I'm not sure I would have had the courage either, Michelle. I would like to think that I would have had the courage to stand by my beliefs, but whether or not I actually would have is a something else all together.

I would go ahead and give the book report. Most times I don't follow the rules, at least this time I would have a good reason not to.

I'd give the book report. Sometimes you just have to take a stand and do what is right. I liked how the entire Keaton family stood by Jennifer. That's one of the reasons I think they were one of the best TV families ever. They might not have agreed about politics but there was no doubt that the Keatons all loved each other and they could count on each other. That's what a family should do.

I would have fought for it too.
