Funny how things turn out. David Letterman does Late Night, then he's replaced by Conan O'Brien (for a successful run) and now the two will be competing against each other in the ratings.

I love them both. They are by far the best late night talk show hosts and have been ever since they started their shows. I'd feel bad if Conan tanks because I like the guy and wish him only the best and also because I'd hate to come here to SO and see Solomon's thread THE GOOFY MONKEY CLOWN BOMBS IN THE RATINGS_LOL. ;)

Of course, I also wish Jay Leno luck too. It wasn't his fault The Tonight Show was taken from him and he seems like a nice enough guy. Of course he'll have a whole different kind of competition. Usually hour long dramas.

I wonder how different things would have been if NBC had been smart and given The Tonight Show to David Letterman rather than Jay Leno back in 1992.

I was reading Johnny Carson wanted Dave to succeed him but the NBC programming Bosses wanted Leno? Very confusing-lol

I don't like David Letterman much at all, so I'm hoping that Conan does well. I saw his interview with Tom Hanks last night. Absolutely hilarious!
