Right now (Saturday morning) - in some words: angry, deeply rebellious, ignored and VERY cynical. In a word: toxic.

I'm feeling great.

Damn, I wish I had half of your optimism. Anyway, I'm feeling pretty good right now. Just finished helping Donna fill up her vending machines, and was reminded that I do still have a few trustworthy friends left in this world. I won't bore anyone with the details, but I recently got screwed over by a couple people who I thought were true friends, and it has me not feeling to trusting right now. It's nice to know there's still true ones out there!!

Overwhelmed, but keeping it together:lol: It's the busiest time of year for me at work (I work at a school: getting final grades in, inventories, securing your classroom, signing out, turning in your keys--plus a multitude of good-bye and retirement parties to attend, so it's not all work, but pretty stressful running here and there. I manage to get through it every year. Friday, hopefully, I'll breathe a sigh of relief.

Scared out of my mind. I'm three hours away from getting an MRI. This is the 7th one I've had in two and a half years. The difference now is that this is a closed machine, and I'm crazy claustrophobic. My previous MRIs were done on open machines. The last one done two weeks ago and revealed some problems, so they need better images. I plan on taking as many tranquilizers as I can without passing out, lol. Sorry so long. This really belongs on the Complaint Thread. I'll post on here later, one word. RELIEVED.

This is actually the reason I was totally distraught this morning. I cried through your entire email, and have been crying all throughout the day. I just feel so bad, and I swear, if I could take your pain on myself, I would in a split second. You're like a mother figure to me, and I consider you family, that's why I'm so broken hearted right now. :(

Just so you know Janice, I've been praying for you, and I hope with all hope that everything turns out fine. I'm having trouble even writing this knowing what pain you're going through, but just know that I love you, and I'll be under my prayer blanket that you got me, praying like crazy for you!!! All my love, Brad!!!

I'm very cranky, depressed, and most of all, disappointed. I was hoping my advanced poetry class was going to travel into the city today for a field trip, but our professor decided to cancel last minute. After getting psyched about it for weeks and even taking off work to go, it's been canceled. I know things happen, but my professor didn't even answer our emails about whether or not the city trip was going to happen. He just sent an email a little over an hour ago to say he couldn't make it. To me, that is so unprofessional and just plain not cool to do to us. I know he's super busy, but couldn't he have given us some kind of inkling about the trip? Especially since he was the one with the idea to go and was pushing for it the past few weeks. I am just disappointed, is all. I am wondering how great this class is gonna be. I thought it'd be fun and intellectually stimulating--we were promised field trips that would be fun and also helpful in inspiring us to write poetry. No one's even writing and our first field trip has been canceled. It's not off to a good start :(

Ah, that felt good. I like venting, lol.

Thanks, Mike :) I feel better after venting. It is completely unprofessional, and not only that, but also very inconsiderate to do to us (oh, and he didn't mention anything about being sick, just that tonight wouldn't be good for him). I actually told him I had to take off work for this, too, so he knew it was something I had to make arrangements for. To do it so last minute like that....wow. He had to have gotten our emails and text messages, too. All 4 of us have been inquiring about it since Wednesday night.

Well, enough of my bitching  Thanks for listening, Mike!

I'm kind of numb right now because I just found out from my stepdad (well, he'll officially be my stepdad on July 11th!) that my mom has breast cancer. Boy, that was a shock. I can always tell when someone is going to give me bad news because he called and left a message saying for me to call him; nothing else. I was actually thinking he was going to tell me that my 98 year old grandad had died. But this news is just as bad, if not worse. The prognosis is pretty good, though and it seems like they have some really good doctors and surgeons working with her.

I'm very sorry to hear this, Andrea. I'll most certainly keep your mother in my thoughts and prayers. I'm glad she has a good prognosis.

Andrea, your mom is in my prayers. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer a couple of years ago, and today, she is cancer free and doing fantastic; keep the faith and also be positive..

I feel great!! I had a good and productive day, and am starting to feel the benefits of eating healthier, and sleeping regularly. I have a feeling that tomorrow will be a great one too!! :)

Thank you for all the kind thoughts everyone. Usually I don't like to talk about stuff like that on message boards, because I feel like I'm garnering sympathy, but at the time it was pretty much all that's on my mind. My stepdad makes it sound like the doctors are wonderful though, although my mom is really scared. It kind of makes me feel a little helpless being in Seattle when she's in Texas, but thankfully she has my brother and uncle (plus my stepdad) with her. I'm just trying to keep my focus on her wedding, which is July 11th. I'm getting excited about going to Texas for that. Kind of like a family reunion, since I'm hoping to see my cousins. I haven't seen them in about 13 years. Actually I think the last time I saw them was when I got married. My flower girl is in college now! OMG!!!!

HUGS TO YOU ALL!!!:bighug:

That's awesome! I try so hard to do this, but it's really hard for me. I admire your dedication in eating healthier. I am terrible at this and unfortunately it shows! :(

This thread is no different in subject matter than the Feel Good and Complaint threads. This thread simply combines those two threads, which are about members' moods. There's no need for a duplicate thread. The Feel Good and Complaint threads have been longstanding, classic threads and a part of Chit Chat for many years. That's why they're stickied. For those who made recent posts in this thread, I'm sorry. Please re-post in the other threads.

Thank you.
