When it comes to knowing some of our favorite SO members, we remember how we first got to know them.

How do you remember first finding out certain members on this site (i.e. the post that got you to know them more?)

For me, I first got to know about Ramona (littlebelle) on a 'Step By Step' thread entitled 'Who was Hottest?'

This was the line that started our friendship:

Karen's the best. Just everyone admit it... bow down to the beauty of Angela Watson.

When I found out that there was someone else who admired Angie, I had a friend- a friend for life.

I first got to know Wreckless during the Phillies' playoff run- at first, I remember his profanity-laced tirades following two close Eagles losses, but that playoff season cemented our friendship.

The first two people I met here were Jenny (Family Ties Forever!) and Kate (Little Insomniac). I believe I met Kate on the Square Pegs board in a conversation about the character Muffy Tepperman (Jami Gertz). Kate had a wonderful sense of humor. I met Jenny here at Chit Chat. She seemed really sweet and I think I sent her a PM to get to know her better. Through Kate I met Sonny, Tara, Jack and a whole lot of other people.

I met quite a few people through the FOL board like Kelly (no not that Kelly :lol: ), Jodi (both who I miss dearly), Bille, Meghan and many others. It was while posting at the FOL board that I really began to feel at home here.

I came to know Michael through our shared love of Martina McBride. Cathy though her always entertaining Chit Chat posts. And since I returned form Lent I have gotten close to Kim and Mattie. Brad and I are becoming closer too of late.

There have really been too many great people here that I've met to name them all.

i've known pretty much all of my friends since when i first registered in 2004...i talked to a lot of them on the random or Happy Days Chit Chat board then but it wasnt til 2006 that i really started getting close to them. we all talked a lot that year and became really close. sooo yeah...we've pretty much been really good friends since then :)

Well two of them and I were the ORIGINAL 3 of the HD board people in 2002, and as more people came, and I started posting all around the boards, I made more friends! The HD board people and I still talk though, well not ALL HD people, we became the AI people by 2006 LOL, we all did.


Hard to believe our grup was just Crystal, me and TF at one point :lol:

I met my two closest friends here on SO through two different portions of the site - one on a Howdy Doody Appreciation thread in "Other Shows"; the other I met in "Chit Chat", then extended that friendship to Facebook.

I seem to remember sending Monika a pm years ago, asking about her avatar, cuz it was a picture of Elizabeth Montgomery I loved but couldn't place.

Janice and Fleet I first started talking to (okay, arguing with) on the Politics board. I made a surprising amount of friends on that board, and mostly it's with people I disagreed with politically :crazy:

The first friend I made on SO was Anthony ( Small Wonderian). I was posting in a thread and he had mentioned how he loved Small Wonder and I commented that I used to like that show too and a friendship was born. I had talked to Tara on a few sitcom boards and she had started a thread over in random. It consisted of her, Kate ( who was Little Insomniac at the time), Anthony and Mary (Crimson and Clover). I would often lurk over there but I was too shy to post. :lol: Then one day Tara sent me a pm asking if I wanted to join them and the rest is history. Soon Allison joined us and all of us became great friends. Those were the best times I ever had on SO. Eventually Justin (Skywalker) and Angela (ZKS) and a few others joined us.

I had first seen Janice post before I even became a member. I remember her and Solomon from my lurking days. The first time I had any interaction with her was when she joined us in fighting off a troll who liked to correct people's spelling. :lol: I really didn't get to know her too much until about 3 or 4 years ago when she sent me a pm to tell me that she admired me and thought I was a good man. It was the nicest pm I had ever gotten on SO. I was feeling down at the time and it realy made me feel good. We've been good friends ever since. :) I think Solomon and I just naturally became friends because of our hatred of the Eagles. :lol:

I honestly have no idea.

I don't know. It usually just happens with me. Some people I just connect with, while others I don't.

The first friend I made on here was Kristen (aka Wingsfan, Snoopy, Homerrific, Chesneyfan, Chocoholic). Mostly because she liked my two favorite shows: NewsRadio and Wings. We met on the "Wings" board, which was my favorite board when the show was on Nick at Nite. Mostly because it had a huge boost. too bad, the huge boost in poularity at the Wings board didn't reflect on the show's ratings and N@N quickly dumped it.

Despite loving this board and having people I enjoy talking to, I don't have any real buddies here. And that's my fault, for not getting too involved here. I honestly don't know many of your real names. So sometimes when someone says someone's name, I have to think about who they're talking about. I mostly know people by their username. Although I believe I've heard it before, I can't think of what TJL's name is. It took me a while to realize that Monika is Catlover. And so on.

Well, We get to know people when we post in the same threads and like the same things :D

I got to know people here just by posting on thread and discussing things. I am getting to know some people a little better through Facebook and Myspace.

I first got to know some people on here just by reading the various posts and getting P.M.s from a couple like Lauren, Janice and Taura.

Although I believe I've heard it before, I can't think of what TJL's name is. It took me a while to realize that Monika is Catlover. And so on.
