View Full Version : Season Three coming to DVD tazz765 05-28-2009, 05:27 PM Season Three will be released on DVD on September 8th. Source: http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Mr-Belvedere-Season-3/11989 TV_Fan 05-28-2009, 06:15 PM Shout! Factory rocks! This is no surprise though considering how well the show has been selling on DVD. In your face Alan Spencer! Vahan 05-28-2009, 06:34 PM Although it says that package art hasn't been finalized yet, I'm fairly certain that it will be the same as the last one, but with a picture of the cast from season 3, as seen here (0:51 mark) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dbe1mJc1uic). TV_Fan 05-28-2009, 06:51 PM I wouldn't even mind if they used the picture of just him holding the tray. catlover79 05-28-2009, 08:18 PM Woohoo!! party: :bouncers :jig: tazz765 05-29-2009, 01:10 PM There is now cover art posted at the original link. Vahan 05-29-2009, 01:26 PM Well, what do you know about that? Looks like I was right all along, about what picture they would use for the front cover. I don't think they could have been anymore spot on with that picture. However, now the outer cover is in blue, instead of brown. Still, looks just as great as the first one did. TV_Fan 05-29-2009, 01:44 PM I agree, it looks great. catlover79 05-29-2009, 01:55 PM That cover art looks terrific. :D gerrya 05-31-2009, 07:44 PM The first DVD set was just terrific. I can't wait for the next one. I'm really glad that the DVD is doing so well for Shout! Factory. I think it must have surprised a lot of people that this did so well. It wasn't a surprise to me because I knew in all the time I've been watching it, and in all the years it's been off the air how really good the show was. And that once people see it again, they'd see that. Even I was rather stunned that the show is actually better than I remember it. TV_Fan 06-01-2009, 08:57 PM I think it must have surprised a lot of people that this did so well. And that once people see it again, they'd see that. Even I was rather stunned that the show is actually better than I remember it. I hope that some of the people most stunned it's doing so well are the people at 20th Century Fox who refused to release it themselves. Shame on you Fox! Ha ha! The other is Alan Spencer. Ha ha Sledge only lasted two seasons, Mr Belvedere six. Mr Belvedere is only one of two 80's sitcoms that I found held up even BETTER then I remember. Sledge Hammer is NOT the other one. It looks like in all likelihood Mr Belvedere will get all its seasons released on DVD, contrary to Alan Spencer's prediction that if Mr Belvedere ever got released on DVD it would sell so poorly people would burn the DVDs  :happyface  . catlover79 06-01-2009, 10:07 PM ^ Yes, I'm sure the people at Fox are crying into their beer now...and Shout! is reaping all the benefits. :D tazz765 06-01-2009, 11:19 PM I would rather have Shout anyways because at least they treat their shows with respect unlike the big studios that release a season and stop. Scoobiedoo30 06-02-2009, 01:00 AM Good to here that season 3 coming to DVD. megamanj2004 06-02-2009, 03:43 AM I would rather have Shout anyways because at least they treat their shows with respect unlike the big studios that release a season and stop. Or in the case of Sony w/ their horrid treatment of another '80s show "227" with the way they crammed all the episodes on the discs. And/or even CBS Television Distribution/CBS-Paramount or whatever they wanna call themselves with their butchering of their TV shows on DVD's. TV_Fan 06-02-2009, 08:59 AM ^ Yes, I'm sure the people at Fox are crying into their beer now...and Shout! is reaping all the benefits. :D Exactly! There's no other company besides Shout! that deserves to be reaping the rewards in my opinion :D Shout! is doing a great job with the sets. catlover79 06-02-2009, 09:00 AM Exactly! There's no other company besides Shout! that deserves to be reaping the rewards in my opinion :D Shout! is doing a great job with the sets. They really seem to respect the 80s shows. :D TV_Fan 06-02-2009, 10:27 AM They really seem to respect the 80s shows. :D Yup. Although I don't own them, from what I hear they did a great job on My Two Dads & Simon & Simon. If only they would release Gimme A Break :( catlover79 06-02-2009, 12:00 PM Yup. Although I don't own them, from what I hear they did a great job on My Two Dads & Simon & Simon. If only they would release Gimme A Break :( Hopefully, they can get to that one as well. Vahan 06-07-2009, 09:49 AM http://blogvedere.blogspot.com/ "A little birdie told me that there's going to be a cast commentary on the Season 3 DVD. Oh yeah." But which cast members, and which episodes, though? That's the question. I suppose Gerry Alanguilan has contacts with the cast on the show. As a matter of fact, if you go to the acknowledgments section of his site, you'll learn that Brice Beckham, Rob Stone, Tracy Wells and Ilene Graff have all shared positive feedback on his site. Not only that, but he's also conducted an interview with Rob Stone a couple of times. Although I don't know which episodes there will be a commentary on, I would be surprised if the Robert Goulet episode titled "Debut" isn't one of them. Bob Uecker talked a little about it when he was interviewed by Yahoo! Sports, about how Ilene always wanted to be a singer (which is exactly what she does in this particular episode), and even the time he sang really-off key on the Tonight Show (which he was a frequent guest on) to promote that episode. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/blog/big_league_stew/post/Answer-Man-Bob-Uecker-talks-Mr-Belvedere-Mill?urn=mlb,82505 catlover79 06-07-2009, 02:43 PM ^ Hey, that sounds awesome!! :D McFly121 06-08-2009, 04:51 AM Brice was nice enough to email me back about Season 3's info and confirmed he has already recorded some ep commentaries and that Tracy will be including herself this time around as well. tazz765 06-08-2009, 05:19 AM Brice was nice enough to email me back about Season 3's info and confirmed he has already recorded some ep commentaries and that Tracy will be including herself this time around as well.
