View Full Version : Things that bother you in the Online World?
Janice 05-26-2009, 06:46 PM People who just drop off a link in a discussion, with no explanation. The link is their post. I never ever open it.
People who make huge posts with a problem, and never return to the thread. I think that if someone takes the time to read a monster post and offer advice, it should be acknowledged. When that happens, I usually delete my post. :D
As a moderator, I hate it when people PM or e-mail me with an issue, and don't say please or thank you, or even use my name. I often ignore those. Most members are very polite, but some treat me as if I'm a computer. There's a person on the other side there, and some people forget that.
I'm not crazy over very long posts, e-mails or PMs. I'm guilty of it myself sometimes, but not all the time.
People who expect the internet to be their private Dear Abby. Nothing at all wrong with posting about problems, as long they reciprocate and help others with their problems.
Chocoholic 05-26-2009, 07:00 PM People who can't accept the fact that not everyone has the same tastes as they do. Someone may love a TV show you can't stand or have no interest in a celebrity you love or whatever. You don't need to be rude and attack their intelligence. If you have nothing nice to say, don't say it.
I also won't bother reading posts if people can't take the time to use proper spelling and punctuation. It really frustrates me as a teacher's aide to see so much poor spelling and grammar out there. Makes me wonder why I bother sometimes.
Nighthawk76 05-26-2009, 07:00 PM I think what bothers me most about the online world is that I'm never going to meet all the wonderful people I've met here in person. To think that I will never meet Sonny or Kim or Michael or Mattie or Jenny or Cathy or quite a few others just makes me sad. Of course, maybe they don't want to meet me. ;)
Nighthawk76 05-26-2009, 07:01 PM I also won't bother reading posts if people can't take the time to use proper spelling and punctuation. It really frustrates me as a teacher's aide to see so much poor spelling and grammar.
Guess that's why you never read my posts, Kristen.  ;)
InspectorExstead 05-26-2009, 07:03 PM I think what bothers me most about the online world is that I'm never going to meet all the wonderful people I've met here in person. To think that I will never meet Sonny or Kim or Michael or Mattie or Jenny or Cathy or quite a few others just makes me sad. Of course, maybe they don't want to meet me. ;)
 Mike, everyone would love to meet you!
But I agree, that's something that kind of bothers me too. I really like face to face interactions because I always want to see people's facial expressions. I'm really big on that. So it's weird to talk to so many people, but never be able to see their faces when they read my posts or when they respond.
Mr. Television 05-26-2009, 07:11 PM I can't stand it when people trash a celebrity or anyone in a memorial thread. It's in poor taste.
Marvo301 05-26-2009, 07:22 PM It bugs me when someone starts a post with please help me I need the answer to this question and then you answer their question and they never even acknowledge you.
robyrob 05-26-2009, 07:34 PM thread titles that are completely useless - especially where just one or two words would make the topic quite clear, also when a thread title is something liek "Happy Days" on the Happy Days board or "Looking for Trade" on the Trading Post
spoilers in thread titles
really long posts or pms with no spaces in between thoughts or paragraphs so it ends up being just one big unreadable block of text
people that wont stop and take a minute to try and see someone else's point of view, even if they don't agree with them its worth at least hearing where they are coming from.
JamesG 05-26-2009, 07:42 PM People who bring up discussions in pm's in public or ask you on the forum why you haven't responded to their pm yet.
People who delete their post because someone disagrees with what they had to say. Instead of responding they delete what they wrote.
EmoJoe 05-26-2009, 07:57 PM IGNORANCE.
seriously, the internet is full of truly ignorant people who think they're extremely smart and know everything about a certain topic and actually know nothing. it annoys me so much. i cant stand it.
Sharop 05-26-2009, 08:05 PM Bullying and rudeness. I think some people feel that they can say what they like over a computer. I hate online bullying.
MickeyMac 05-26-2009, 08:29 PM People who cant agree to disagree on something and turn the whole thing into an argument and then drag other people into it. I hate that
dawsongirl 05-26-2009, 08:54 PM Sorry, but misuse of there/their/they're or your/you're annoys me. This is lower elementary grammar, people.

I see those kinds of people all the time commenting on news stories. I've never read so many dumb comments in my life. ohno:

Cliff Clavin syndrome!!

i feel the same way mike. i have very few friends in my offline life, i feel like my only true friends are on this board. i don't know, maybe that sounds pathetic but its how i feel. i've never had more in common with people and have never found the things we discuss more interesting. it just makes me sad that we might not all ever meet in person though we sit here everyday and share sometimes our inner most thoughts with each other. its a weird feeling to talk to people so intimately but yet you've never met face to face
dawsongirl 05-26-2009, 09:09 PM i have very few friends in my offline life
Same here.
robyrob 05-26-2009, 09:25 PM Sorry, but misuse of there/their/they're or your/you're annoys me. This is lower elementary grammar, people.
what about yore ?
PunkyP0WER 05-26-2009, 09:26 PM Same here.
well your my friend here cathy. i enjoy all your posts. ialways crack up when i think of your reply to the thread i started when my father got mugged! you tell it like it is and it makes your posts enjoyable. i have no friends in the offline world because 1. i work odd hours. working 3rd shift i live the life of a vampire. 2. the other reason is people find the age difference between my husband and i creepy.
browneyes106 05-26-2009, 09:29 PM I don't like bullying.
dawsongirl 05-26-2009, 09:33 PM what about yore ?
That's the worst!
dawsongirl 05-26-2009, 09:40 PM well your my friend here cathy. i enjoy all your posts. ialways crack up when i think of your reply to the thread i started when my father got mugged! you tell it like it is and it makes your posts enjoyable. i have no friends in the offline world because 1. i work odd hours. working 3rd shift i live the life of a vampire. 2. the other reason is people find the age difference between my husband and i creepy.
I remember that thread, but not what I said. I have to look it up now. lol
And thank you. :)
I'm not real social offline; I'm a total homebody.
PunkyP0WER 05-26-2009, 09:44 PM i hate when people get hostile over shows or movies where it gets to the point of personal attacks. when people say they don't like a show or movie i like i don't get offended or take it personally. i have the ability to step back and say "yeah, i love the show too but agree so-and-so isn't a good actor". i like to read bad reviews on shows/movies i like because i don't take my likes so seriously that i can't have a sense of humor about them.
i also hate how people go onto a board devoted to a certain show or movie solely for the purpose of trashing it. why would you go out of your way and take the time to join a board just to bash something.
Janice 05-26-2009, 09:47 PM I never cared for statements such as, "Diane and Joe are the best writers here." or "Diane has the best heart of anyone on this site." It excludes all others, and it's cliquey.
Just as public displays of affection bother me in my offline life, it also bugs me in online life. The constant compliments, hugs, declarations of how much they love the person. It's nice until it's overdone. I don't even like it when it's directed at me. Especially then.
dawsongirl 05-26-2009, 09:50 PM I remember that thread, but not what I said. I have to look it up now. lol
And thank you. :)

 I see now. Yeah, I have no time for human scum.
*Pleasant Tomorrow* 05-26-2009, 10:42 PM I never cared for statements such as, "Diane and Joe are the best writers here." or "Diane has the best heart of anyone on this site." It excludes all others, and it's cliquey.

I agree, that's always bothered me, too. I also don't like threads that ask "who is the best so and so" or things like that and I never participate in them.
Nighthawk76 05-26-2009, 11:15 PM  I see now. Yeah, I have no time for human scum.

Family Ties Forever! 05-26-2009, 11:16 PM People who just drop off a link in a discussion, with no explanation. The link is their post. I never ever open it.

I agree with all of that.
What's the point of just putting a link? It would make it easier for people if the person would post the article, or whatever it is, along with the link.
I agree. If you want people to read about your problem and respond then at least acknowledge it when they do so. Don't just abandon the thread.
It's common curtesy to say please and thank you. Some people are just ungrateful.
I agree. If a person is going to constantly ask for advice it would be polite if they would make an effort to give others advice.
I have never liked the "so and so is the best, most wonderful, prettiest, smartest, talented person here." That makes everyone else feel like they are less than that person. IMO, it's uncool to single out people and say they are so much better than everyone else here.
Also all the I love you's, hugs, kisses, winks, blushes, seem over used. How many times do we have to read that so and so loves so and so. The rest of us don't want to read about that. Get a room people. It's one thing to be sincere it's another to kiss each others' backsides. IMO, the kissy-kissy stuff needs to be kept private.
TVFactFan 05-26-2009, 11:17 PM People who do not know how to have a TV discussion
One example was when some started a thread about Bonus features on DVD and everyone who replied just stated the shows that had bonus features and not what the features was on the DVD
Cactus Jack 05-27-2009, 12:05 AM I agree, things have gotten to a point where you go to a thread and all you see is, "You're the best!" "No, you're the best!" No offense, but it's getting a little sickening. It started a few months ago and hasn't let up since. ohno:
 I dont think its sickening though, its just really cliquey, and sometimes I wont even reply to a thread I want to because of it, when it turns into that. But at least no one's going at other's throats, but its still cliquey, and can keep some people away.
Especially in the Complaint/ Feel Good Departments, I have other names for the threads but wont post them here LOL
dawsongirl 05-27-2009, 12:06 AM I agree, things have gotten to a point where you go to a thread and all you see is, "You're the best!" "No, you're the best!" No offense, but it's getting a little sickening. It started a few months ago and hasn't let up since. ohno:
I also hate it when someone posts a thread and then goes around to other threads saying, "No one is posting in my thread." Looking for pitty, it's very pathetic and some people just keep doing it constantly.
Well, they're all lying anyway...because I'M THE BEST. :snob:
dawsongirl 05-27-2009, 12:07 AM  I dont think its sickening though, its just really cliquey, and sometimes I wont even reply to a thread I want to because of it, when it turns into that. But at least no one's going at other's throats, but its still cliquey, and can keep some people away.

I don't like cliques...probably because I am never in them. *shrugs*
Cactus Jack 05-27-2009, 12:13 AM Well, they're all lying anyway...because I'M THE BEST. :snob:
LOL now thats the spirit
Nighthawk76 05-27-2009, 12:27 AM Showing affection for your friends is not cliquey. I know that no one is mentioning names, but I know that I am one of the people being referred to here. Which is really hurtful, since I've been nice and shown respect to everyone in this thread. Especially you, Cathy and Lauren.
PunkyP0WER 05-27-2009, 12:29 AM Also all the I love you's, hugs, kisses, winks, blushes, seem over used. How many times do we have to read that so and so loves so and so. maybe there are people on here who don't have anyone else in their life to encourage them or to give them a pick me up. i think implying that its anything more than friendly is wreckless and in poor taste.
Nighthawk76 05-27-2009, 01:06 AM No one named any names, so what makes you assume we were talking about you?
If you weren't, than I apologize, Lauren.
Hollow 05-27-2009, 01:07 AM UNSOLICITED BACKGROUND NOISE. it just needs to be outlawed. ohno:
people who think the phrase "it's just my opinion" excuses any and all behavior on a message board, even bullying and spamming. it's even worse when they get warned/banned for doing it too much and then claim that their first amendment rights are being violated. that's why you're just being kicked off the site, not prosecuted and thrown in jail.
message boards that allow very little silliness and a very generous amount of bullying. i swear, most boards on the internet are like that. it's one of the reasons why SO is my favorite board of all time.
people who brag about how long they've been on a message board. no one gives a damn.
people who throw out guilt trips and make threats to close their site if they don't get a certain amount of comments or whatever, then make a big huffy announcement that the site is closed because no one did as they were commanded, and stomp away with their nose in the air.
chain messages that try to manipulate me into forwarding the message by either 1) threatening a ridiculously unrealistic misfortune such as my mother's already-surpassed death, or 2) preying on my emotions by telling me that i'm denying god, promoting rape, or mocking death by not forwarding the message.
people who completely whore out their web pages (like on myspace) with excessive pictures, videos, sound files, applications, flash files, quiz results, surveys, and all kinds of other junk that serves no purpose other than to freeze people's computers or just make them have to pull teeth to navigate down the page.
when some douche on their high horse barges into a discussion, ranting and raving about how everyone is fretting over ridiculous things such as sports when there's a WAR going on, we're in a RECESSION, people in the middle east are STARVING. if those are the only things anyone is allowed to worry about, how did your panties get in such a bunch over a discussion about sports?
lastly, people who judge each other. they really think they can look at an online posting and know everything about the poster's life, what they're living with, their history, their mental health, their personality, their unique innermost needs, everything.
Family Ties Forever! 05-27-2009, 01:11 AM maybe there are people on here who don't have anyone else in their life to encourage them or to give them a pick me up. i think implying that its anything more than friendly is wreckless and in poor taste.
I wasn't implying anything of the sort. I'm not the only person who is sick and tired of the ongoing lovefest (not sexual) in the Complaint and Feel Good threads. It alienates people. Why do people feel the need to constantly and publicly tell someone how crazy they are over them? Tell them in private. It makes people uncomfortable. I used to enjoy posting in those threads. Now I feel like an intruder. It spills over into other threads too. People are talking about it, not just me. Five people in this thread alone.
PunkyP0WER 05-27-2009, 01:13 AM - people who review products that they haven't received or used. like somebody will write "i just got the handbag today and its gorgeous" um, could you wait a month or 2 and see how it wears first - if its durable? or like on amazon.com right now people have reviewed the gone with the wind and wizard of oz boxsets that aren't going to be released til the fall! yet they have reviewed it - but have no knowledge of extras, sound picture quality etc. they just write on about how they can't wait to purchase it when it comes out.

Jenny, we're just all good friends, that's all. It's nothing more than that. Really. I'm sure no one had any intention of making you feel uncomfortable. You've been a valued member of this site for many years and I for one would like to see you posting more. Especially on the FT board. :)
PunkyP0WER 05-27-2009, 01:25 AM I wasn't implying anything of the sort. I'm not the only person who is sick and tired of the ongoing lovefest (not sexual) in the Complaint and Feel Good threads. if i misunderstood what you were saying than you have my apologies. that is how i interpreted it but i understand that its not necessarily how you meant it. again i apologize.
Schmoopie 05-27-2009, 01:25 AM I'm probably going to get bashed here but I don't like seeing threads directed at one person like a "so and so appreciation thread". It's nice to appreciate someone but sometimes it makes me feel "unappreciated", to see others getting their own thread while most aren't acknowledged at all.
I'm not counting birthday threads though. Those are to honor the person on their special day; even a congratulations thread on a new job or something, but the general apprecation threads just get to me.
Another thing I hate is arguments between people in threads. I was on one board where they were discussing the latest episode of a TV show and I had to go through three pages just to get to the actual episode discussion because two posters decided to go at it, arguing about a scene in the episode. Geez!
*Pleasant Tomorrow* 05-27-2009, 01:30 AM I'm probably going to get bashed here but I don't like seeing threads directed at one person like a "so and so appreciation thread". Well, I'm not going to bash you for it because I agree with you. While I certainly appreciate many of the people brought up in those threads, I don't participate in them because I don't feel that they're fair. Everyone deserves to be appreciated, not just a select few.
Nighthawk76 05-27-2009, 01:32 AM Well, it's been another interesting day here at Sitcoms Online. ;) Still, this is the greatest place in the world to post. :)

I know how you feel, actually. Even though I may have my group of friends here at SO, I know that I am not one of the popular people. Which really doen't bother me most of the time. However, sometimes when I see people who get a whole lot of attention, I feel left out too. I know that if I stopped posting here (not that I plan to) that my friends would miss me, but for the most part it wouldn't have any real effect on the boards.
70s show watcher 05-27-2009, 04:33 AM Bullying and rudeness. I think some people feel that they can say what they like over a computer. I hate online bullying.i cant stand that ether

I completely agree with you. I'm glad that people have friends and care about each other, but I'm so tired of the lovefest in the Feel Good and Complaint threads. There's absolutely no need for that in public.
Waterston_Fan 05-27-2009, 03:10 PM Please read my story that has the link on my sig. Thanks.

To be honest, I haven't actually noticed it. I don't visit them too often, though. Surely people can just ignore it, though, even if they feel uncomfortable?

I think people are simply reading too mcuh into the whole thing. There has certainly been quite a bit of affection shown between, me, Kim, Mattie, Marv and a few others. However, it is far from being a lovefest. Kim is a happily married woman, for starters. I still have deep feelings for a girl I was seeing last fall, and my heart still achs for her. I want nothing more than to be with her. Her name is Kelly. So what has been happening in the Feelgood and Complaint Department threads is far from a lovefest. I'm sorry that the sutuation has made people feel uncomfortable, but there is nothing I can do about it, since there is nothing going on in the first place. Everyone is intitled to thier opinion though. :)

This is what I'm talking about, though.I think some of us just feel uncomfortable about the constant affection shown in the complaint and feel good departments. It doesn't matter that it's not romantic in nature. The affection is fine occasionally, but I think it's been a bit over the top lately. JMO

I am sorry that you feel that way. Though I may show more affection towards my good friends, I think I've always been nice to everyone on this board. I always lend advice if people have a problem. I've just never had folks angry at me before for being nice. That is what hurt me so much last night while reading this thread.

I think you might be misunderstanding me. I'm not angry about any of this. I actually haven't gotten that impression from anyone else either. I just think the constant affection lately is over the top no matter who it's being directed toward here. If it was being directed toward me, I'd still feel this way. There's no need for the affection to be so frequent on a public message board. In my opinion, that's the purpose of PMs.

I agree. I don't understand why people feel the need to publicly declare their fondness for a person. It's a new trend. This never took place at SO before. I don't even want to go near those threads, and that bothers me. Everyone's so beautiful, so wonderful, the best person on earth, best wife, best daughter, best everything. Big paragraphs telling someone how much they mean to each other. The constant compliments. What the heck is up with all this? Maybe we should sticky a thread and call it the Fondness thread or something. It really is sickening and completely over the top. We get it. You guys love each other (as friends). Enough is enough.
MickeyMac 05-27-2009, 08:16 PM I dont know if this was mentioned but one thing that rips me is when people lie about themselves online and if you do get to meet them you find that out firsthand  . I dont understand that. Why lie about yourself??? You are who you are.

Well, I used to refer to my sisters by false names online, because I wanted to respect their privacy. Then I figured it really didn't matter. Like who here cares what their names are anyway?
dawsongirl 05-27-2009, 08:55 PM Showing affection for your friends is not cliquey. I know that no one is mentioning names, but I know that I am one of the people being referred to here. Which is really hurtful, since I've been nice and shown respect to everyone in this thread. Especially you, Cathy and Lauren.
Actually, I wasn't thinking of anyone when I agreed.
dawsongirl 05-27-2009, 08:58 PM - people who review products that they haven't received or used. like somebody will write "i just got the handbag today and its gorgeous" um, could you wait a month or 2 and see how it wears first - if its durable? or like on amazon.com right now people have reviewed the gone with the wind and wizard of oz boxsets that aren't going to be released til the fall! yet they have reviewed it - but have no knowledge of extras, sound picture quality etc. they just write on about how they can't wait to purchase it when it comes out.
I see that all the time, too. "I just got this computer and really haven't used it much yet, but it turned on! YAY!!"
How is that helpful????
MickeyMac 05-27-2009, 09:18 PM Well, I used to refer to my sisters by false names online, because I wanted to respect their privacy. Then I figured it really didn't matter. Like who here cares what their names are anyway?
What I meant is when people lie about themselves like what they do for a living, and things about their lives, and whether they are single or not.
Nighthawk76 05-27-2009, 10:16 PM Actually, I wasn't thinking of anyone when I agreed.
Then I owe you an apology, Cathy. :)

So if I went around posting that I was a brain surgeon, that would not be good? ;) Not that anyone would believe it!
gidgetgrape 05-27-2009, 11:09 PM I was on another message board and there was a woman who would be gone for weeks at a time. When she returned to the board she would reply to every message that had been posted since she left. Drove me crazy. She would flood the board with "me too's" and other trivial stuff. I think she did it mostly to keep her post count up. I was so glad when she left the board permanently.
The only other thing that bothers me is that some people don't use imdb.com or google.com to look up basic stuff.

oh yeah, i hate that too. like when they post a thread to say "WHAT ARE THE LYRICS TO (insert name of well known song)"?
that's why you hit them with something like this: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=hey+jude+lyrics

You're my new hero! I'm so using that.

That link is a riot, lol. As funny as it is, I actually don't get frustrated when people ask questions. It sort of gives other people the opportunity to reply with an answer. Say, if I was at the Movie board, and I posted that I loved a movie that Kevin Coster was in where he played a baseball coach. I casually say that I can't think of the name of it now. I certainly could google it, but I leave it alone and if others want to post the answer and show off their movie knowledge, they can.

Oh, I don't have a problem with questions like that. I'm talking more about specific questions that can be easily found, like "What year did Field of Dreams come out?" or "How old is Kevin Coster?"

My point still stands. I like when people exchange information. That's just me. :)
PZelda 05-28-2009, 12:01 AM I never cared for statements such as, "Diane and Joe are the best writers here." or "Diane has the best heart of anyone on this site." It excludes all others, and it's cliquey.
Just as public displays of affection bother me in my offline life, it also bugs me in online life. The constant compliments, hugs, declarations of how much they love the person. It's nice until it's overdone. I don't even like it when it's directed at me. Especially then.
Glad I'm not alone on that! I like everybody here, no worries. But really... I don't spend as much time online as I used to, except on my weekends (it's my Sunday now). So I don't get to talk to everybody I want to individually online like I used to before. So I feel pretty left out a lot of the time now when I see something like that going down.
Not trying to signal anyone out, btw.

Another thing that bothers me in the online world is the damned layout on facebook. IT MAKES FIREFOX ON MY POOR OLD DESKTOP CRASH ALL THE TIME, OKAY. And it's sluggish on my Macbook. Which is almost two ****ing MONTHS old. Java/website management, get you some.
Waterston_Fan 05-28-2009, 12:07 AM Okay now what I will say has to do with fan fiction.net and not SO or anything..
I hate it when Leave It To Beaver doesn't even have it's own fan fiction category like Family Ties or Law & Order does...
But I am glad that people do read my stories that I post on Sitcomsonline and glad there is a 'view' column for the story or posts.
Family Ties Forever! 05-29-2009, 07:31 PM Glad I'm not alone on that! I like everybody here, no worries. But really... That's a good point. All the "you're the best, no you're the best..." makes other people feel left out. I think that such conversations should be kept to pm's and e-mails.
ekkostar 05-29-2009, 11:53 PM As for the "appreciation" threads, I firmly suggested a "birthday/appreciation" thread in the stickies months ago when someone made a birthday thread for me. I dislike attention whoring, especially when it's placed upon me. I'm trying to stay low key and I'm at worst a lurker.
As for the whole Boston Failure thing, I'm NEVER going to let that go. Sorry, I'll still keep poking and saying it ruined John Larroquette.

Take your birthday out of your profile, and you won't get a birthday thread.
Janice 05-30-2009, 03:49 PM It bugs me when a member shows only up to post about something happening in their life. It could be a pregnancy, graduation, illness or whatever. They get a load of support/congrats in a thread, and that's it until their next crisis or celebration. During their stop-offs, they don't take the time to post in a birthday/sympathy/advice thread. Some people forget that it's a two-way street. I've seen members who never post anymore only show up for their birthday thread. I may start just making birthday threads for members who have posted in the last four months. That sounds reasonable.
I hate having my e-mail bombarded with jokes. One of my friends used to send them to me from her work. I had to ask her to stop. I enjoy e-mail jokes, in moderation.
Not looking for trouble, but I know that some people, when looking to excuse their bad behavior, will tell TJ that I'm bias towards my friends. I guarantee you, if my friends acted up on Chit Chat and gave me a hard time, they wouldn't be my friends for long. Sure, I'm nice to my friends. Who isn't? I'm also nice to other members. I'm not nice to people who treat me shabby. I've said it many times. I treat people exactly as they treat me. If they ignore me, I ignore them. If they're kind to me, they get kindness in return. If they start trouble, I'm probably going to suspend them. Feels good getting that off my chest. That BS line, "Janice treats her friends nice." is laughable.
I'll step down from my soapbox now.

That's SO true! Janice doesn't treat her friends nice at all! ;)
 I'm sorry - j/k because it just struck me so funny. Maybe if we tell them that you're not a nice person AT ALL that will finally shut them up!
PZelda 05-30-2009, 08:47 PM Who are you kidding? She's down right nasty to people!!
;)
Gawd! I don't know why I'm still posting! SO is so unpleasant and Janice makes it that way! *eye roll, sighs and dramatic hair flip*
;)
LuLu Rogers 06-09-2009, 02:11 PM I would like to apologize to anyone I offended in this thread. I now truly regret posting in it. We've lost a few members lately because of it and that really breaks my heart. I hope these people will forgive me and come back, we miss you! :(
qwerty 06-09-2009, 04:08 PM ^^^ Not sure if you really did anything wrong - you may have just jumped on the bandwagon. I believe if a member is doing something wrong it should be brought to their attention in a PM. In real life I'd prefer someone tell me privately about things I might be doing wrong or if I'm annoying other people. Mentioning things being done without naming names can usually only lead to people feeling alienated. I do hope they come back though.
Janice 06-09-2009, 06:02 PM I can't stand it when people trash a celebrity or anyone in a memorial thread. It's in poor taste.
I missed this the first time around, but I wholeheartedly agree. I remember when Anna Nicole Smith died, there were a few remarks made, and I thought it was in poor taste.
