Next year will mark the twentith anniversery of the flop show known as "True Colors". This was when the Fox network was first becoming sereious competition for the big boys known as ABC, NBC and CBS. In the recent past, someone posted a message on this page about an attempt to make a reality show based on the idea of an inter-racial version of the "Brady Bunch". Someone responded to that thread by pointing out that the idea of an inter-racial "Brady Bunch" had already been tried in the form of this show on FOX. I then responded to this response by asking people to kick around theories about why this show was such a flop. I thought that some of the things that went on in it were quite amusing. However, so far, no one has seemed too interested in discussing this issue. I thought that things might be different if I were to give this series a thread of its own!

Well, I fail to see the appeal of ANY so-called "reality" show, but in terms of a reality series that's supposed to be an inter-racial version of the Brady Bunch....let's see...

I don't remember the show you're talking about, I just read its entry at Wikipedia...

Just the description of the show would scream "flop" to me, but that's just me. I think reality shows are useless. They'll never invent a reality show that I would watch.

If you remember watching that show, maybe you can tell me this, before I can continue the discussion: Did people watch it expecting it to be a real-life "Brady Bunch", simply because of the blended-family aspect? Was that what you were expecting?

Fox promoted it--on air and in print as...."This ain't the Brady Bunch!" :D

if that gives a clue......the show also had a cast change in between the two seasons it was on. Cleavon Little was brought in as the dad for the second year, IIRC. As for the show, I don't remember watching much of it.

The idea of it sounds like a flop to me as well.
