Do you know of any program that allows you to get your test strips for free or low-cost? I just applied (for the third time) with Bayer to get a Contour meter. My deal is not really the meter (I like the Contour because it is what my doctor's office uses), but the cost behind the strips. I don't have health insurance and can't afford the out of pocket expense of $100+ for a box of 100 strips, plus the lancets and alcohol prep pads. I'm tired of my situation preventing me from properly testing myself for blood sugar levels. A friend lent me hers the other day so I could have some idea of what my levels were doing. My fasting was 180, then after a meal and meds, it was 80. I previously applied also for a OneTouch, but never got anything.

eBay (http://shop.ebay.com/items/__bayer-contour-strips-100_W0QQLHQ5fBINZ1QQLHQ5fIncludeSIFZ1QQ_dmdZ1QQ_in_kwZ1QQ_ipgZ50QQ_okwZbayerQ20contourQ20stripsQ20100QQ_scZ1QQ_sopZ15QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em301) is where I get my test strips and I've never had a problem.
