I have a character named Dave Winston,and he is gay..... One of my gay acquaintences says that he finds the Dave character offensive to gay people.... is he offensive to anybody at SO?:confused: Please help me with this topic...... :(

I asked my acquaintence why he thought Dave was offensive to gay people, and he told me..... 1. Dave is a compulsive liar. 2. Dave used to be a cocaine addict. 3. He stole money to feed his addiction. 3. Dave is a hyprocrite, telling jack that he should be proud of being gay and coming out, and tells him not to worry about what the gay shunners say and think, yet Dave hides in the closet himself, afraid of being shunned. 4. Dave is a weak wuss, letting Rob and George beat him up constantly, and letting them taunt him. Especially Rob. 5. Dave fought Rodney, one of his closest friends first, yet he cannot fight George and Rob......

Dave sounds like a creep to me

Dakert I can see why you say Dave is a creep. I kind of made him seem like a villian. But he`s a good guy. He`s a loyal friend, and he helps people who are in trouble out. :)

Dave may be "offensive" in that he is kind of dumb..... In one of my stories, Rob starts chasing him, and Dave's dumbass runs to the roof, with Rob hot on his heels! he should have run into the office, since he had been in the main hallway. Needless to say, Rob tried to force him off of the roof. Luckily for dave, Dave moved out of the way and Rob fell off.

I think an even worse offensive character of mine is the Darryl character. Darryl saw Dave getting beat up by George and Rob, and did nothing but scream,"Leave Dave alone!". Even AFTER Dave said that he feared that George and Rob would kill him. The sad thing, Darryl has a cell phone. He could have easily called an ambulance or 911 or Dean Riley or even a security guard, but he did nothing out of these options. Lets see, Dave, Darryl`s best friend in Marshall Johnson Academy, is getting beat to one inch of his life, in front of Darryl, and all Darryl does is scream at Dave`s attackers.
