Dick Van Dyke was on The Bonnie Hunt Show today. Bonnie mentioned that MTM had recently been on the show and referred to Dick as a mentor. Dick said he was so proud of Mary. He said Mary had no comedy experience when she started on the Dick Van Dyke Show but she observed Maury, Rosie, etc. and learned from them. Dick said that Mary became the greatest comedienne/comedy actress ever. Later Dick and his singing group (he is part of a quartet) sang the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang theme song.
