I just finsihed watching Season 1 last night, and I think I love the show now more than ever, hehe. There are a lot of really good episodes in this season, so I thought I'd start a thread here, and hopefully get a little discussion going, hehe. Besides the obvious ones (ie, the Wedding, and "Along Came Mary"), here are a few of my faves:

"Chest Pains" - Ida/Nancy Walker was hilarious in this.
"Whataya Think It's There For?" - See above. ;)
"I'll Be Loving You, Sometimes" - I love Howard Hesseman in this one, as Rhoda's date. LOL
"Parent's Day" - Again, classic Ida Morgenstern
"'S Wonderful" - I love how Rhoda wants to protect Brenda. Typical "big sister."
"9E is Available" - The scenes w/ the Spanish guy who was renting the apt were pretty good, and the storyline is nice, too, w/ Joe and Brenda.

Well, I'll prob. think of more later (that always happens w/ these threads, lol). But that should be enough to get the ball rolling!

My favourite episodes from season 1 are 1)The pilot,Nancy Walker steals the show as soon she enters,love the scenes of Rhoda around New York,after she decides to stay.
2)The Shower:An episode I never tire of,we meet the hilarious Myrna and Susie for the first time,not to mention a great guest star performance from Linda Lavin.
3)Have to mention The Wedding,I can see why they decided to give Cloris Leachman,the "Phyllis" spinoff after her performance in this two parter.
4)The Honeymoon:The cruise from hell lol
I'd normally pick any episode with Ida in it but these are my special favs.

Oh yeah, "The Honeymoon" is great. The scene where Rhoda and Joe see their room on the ship is hilarious. And I can't believe I forgot about "The Shower"! I love that the characters introduced there actually come back. A lot of times on shows, they're never even heard from again. BTW, I still need to watch the uncut version of that ep, Scotsguy. Look for a PM from me when I do. ;)

I think I'll write by snail mail to Shout regarding the edited pilot,as it exists,maybe they'll put it on as a special feature if anymore seasons of "Rhoda" come out.
Love the line form the exhausted Doctor in "The Honeymoon",:
"They otta paint a red cross on the side of this tub!".

I loved the old people on the cruise (including classic character actors Charles Lane and Burt Mustin!) - that was hilarious. :rofl: I'm only halfway through so I can't comment on them all, but the wedding episode is probably my favorite so far. :D Plus Howard Hesseman as Rhoda's date was gold. Re: the sleeping arrangements - Rhoda: She sleeps here (Brenda), I sleep here and you don't. :rofl:
