I know that DVDs will probably be around for a long time but they seem to be pushing the new Blu-ray format. Blu-ray won the war against the failed HD-DVD format.
I was just wondering to see who here has a Blu-ray player. If you don't do you plan on eventually getting one?
My PlayStation 3 plays Blu-rays; that was one of the main reasons I bought it.

GE just announced that the holographic disks HVD will hit the consumer market in 2011 or 2012, they are 500GB and while the players will be expensive at first, the disks aren't.

I don't have one and don't foresee getting one unless they come way down in price.

How cheap do you expect they'll get? You can pick them up for $200 and they've only been on the market a couple of years.
And for anyone wanting to buy a flatscreen, if you're looking at 50" and larger, you usually can get them to throw in a blu-ray for free (I did).
