I would like to know, you already knew that Richie is gone or if after the 7th season or happened suddenly? when they decided that was already chosen and Joanie Chacha would put together? in a sense I think it was better so that if either Ron Howard goes, I love Richie Cunningham but I think after 7 seasons has been a good thing that there was more.

I know the real reason so Ron Howard left the show but apart from that I think is better so, early seasons Richie was truly the best, along with Fonzi but after the 6th season start ever enjoyed less.

Ralph I have never liked that much, so they are indifferent.

I am glad that with the 8th -11th season they have deepened the characters better and Chacha Joanie.
