Sayranora Part 1 and 2 to me qualified to be the finale because it gave closure to the relationship of Lionel and Jenny and all the original cast members were in the episode that were in the 1st episode which was George, Weezy, Tom, Helen, Lionel, Jenny, and Bentley.

It was revealed that even though Lionel and Jenny were getting a divorce, that the Jeffersons and Willises were still going to be a family and if that' not closure I'm not sure what is. So to me the Finale was aired in January of 1985, exactly ten years after the Jeffersons premeired on CBS

Anyone agree?

I do!! and the episode feels like a finale. That episode where George helps out with Jessica's girl scout troop is just so lame to end the series on.

Yeah we can just say that CBS aired that two part ep too early and just should have waited until May. Plus the way they took a picture together at the end of the episode also gave it a finale feel

Had the cancellation been announced well in advance and not done the last minute, I think it's likely that would have been the finale.
