While Rachel Bilson was visiting fiancé Hayden Christiansen in Canada, some burglars helped themselves to jewelry and designer clothing – including Bilson's collections of vintage shoes and Chanel - from her Los Angeles home.
"They stole all her designer labels – shoes, clothes, bags … She collected a lot of vintage shoes – she's a size 5 – and they took them all," a friend of the 'O.C.' and 'Jumper' actress told PEOPLE. "[They took] her jewelry, including some handed down to her by her grandmother."
"Fashion is her passion," the friend added. "She's devastated."
Because Bilson's Canadian vacation was an extended trip, it's unclear precisely how recently the crime took place. Bilson's rep confirmed that break-in occurred within the last few weeks, and said the loss is estimated to be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Bilson's mother noticed the missing items when she stopped by the house. Police are investigating, but did not comment on the incident. The friend claims that the actress is "shaken."
The source adds, "She feels violated."
