If Karen Carpenter was alive she would be in her 50's or 60's, but she is one of my all time fav singers ever, do you think that she was gay frfeindly or not. I heard some where that she had alot of gay fans. I still miss her. She was getting beter she weight 98 pounds and getting her life baxk in shape but, he died of kidney or lung fuction.

I wouldn't have the slightest idea. My guess is that she would be - Karen loved her fans. She was on the road to recovery when she suffered sudden cardiac arrest. The theory is that because she'd put on so much weight in a short time, coupled with the years of abuse with anorexia, her heart just gave out. Such a sad, sad story. :rip: Karen

Karen had one of most beautiful voices I ever heard. I think she might have been a gay friendly.

She seems like she was the kind of person who was friendly to everyone; a true rarity.

Karen had the voice of an angel. My father loved her and my teenaged niece loved her. Her passing was such a tragedy. I think she'd be fine with gay people. I don't think it's rare for someone to be friendly with everyone. Most everyone I know is that way.

She indeed had the voice of an angel. I've been a Carpenters fan since I was 12. My mom was a big fan and turned me onto their music. :D

You are then very fortunate to be surrounded by such open minded folks. Would that we were all so fortunate...

I guess I am fortunate. My brother is gay, and I've never seen my loved ones so much as raise an eyebrow about it. His coming out was a non-event as well.
