...that Elizabeth Montgomery passed on. I know the anniversary isn't until tomorrow, but I felt there was no time like the present to start a tribute thread. We still love and miss her. :rip: Lizzie!'

Monika this is a great idea. I was planning on doing something like this for Memorial Day, but the anniversary of Liz's passing is better for the occasion I think.

Since we are remembering Liz I will share my story of how I got a big crush on her( I mentioned this on my interview thread a while back so this is a repeat).

My mom watched Bewitched when she was growing up and continued to watch the reruns and thats how I got started on the show. I liked it but as I kid I really didnt notice Liz. Cut to high school around 1990-91 when Nick at Nite started showing the first two seasons in its glorious black and white. Watching the show again I had to do a double take when I saw Liz. This time I really noticed. Like wow man what a beauty. She was hot, sexy, classy and just had an amazing face and figure for television. Thats when the crush started. Keep in mind Liz was still alive at this point and doing made for TV movies but age didnt do anything but make her more appealing to me.

To me she is probably one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. Not just outside but the way she carried herself, her acting ability and everything about her makes her beautiful on the inside as well. She is the ideal woman.

She may be gone, but she lives on in our TV sets and hearts forever.

Hold your glass up, here is to Liz    :loveya:

Beautiful pictures, Monika! It's hard to believe that it's been 14 years. She had so many good years left, so many grandchildren to spoil. I know that Robert Foxworth has remarried, but does anyone know if he's still in touch with Elizabeth's kids? He was in their lives for 20 years, and they were young when they met him.

In January of 2008, Liz was posthumously honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. All three of her kids, with their spouses and children (her grandkids were all born after she was already gone) attended the ceremony along with William Asher (Bewitched director/producer and father of her kids) AND Robert Foxworth with his kids. Erin Murphy (Tabitha) and Bernard Fox (Dr. Bombay) were also in attendance. Here's more info:

I'll never forget hearing the news on the radio that day. Lizzie passed just 4 days after my grandmother. My mom and I drove to the supermarket and heard the news bulletin on the way home. :(

I remember I was at home watching The Guiding Light. At the end of each episode was a break news announcement. They showed a clip of Bewitched and announced that Liz Montgomery had died. I was in shock to say the least. I would prefer to remember her life rather than her leaving us.

I agree. That was not a happy time in my life, needless to say. :(

While on youtube I came across a CNN clip the day Liz Montgomery died. 5 seconds into it I had to go to something else. I just couldn't bring myself to watch it, so on to a happier clip, and happier moments of Liz.

Wow, I can't believe it's been that long since she died! I remember hearing about that. How sad! She was very beautiful and I've seen some of her post-Bewitched stuff. She was a great all-around actress and is very missed. Thanks so much for the tribute and the pictures, Monika!

^ Glad you liked them, Andrea - it was my pleasure. Yes, she is still missed - and as I mentioned before, it cuts deeper because she was both diagnosed with cancer and died from it at the same time that my grandma was diagnosed with cancer and died. :(

Even though it was a long time ago, I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother. :(
