My mom and I watched the whole show and are still in complete shock and tears. God bless this BRAVE, STRONG FIGHTER and her dear, loved ones.

Neither did I - it was a little graphic at parts when they showed her in surgery, but I'm glad I watched. What a brave, strong woman. GOD BLESS HER!!

I watched the documentary last night... left me utterly heart-broken. Farrah is a brave, determined woman and she has fought this insidious disease with everything she has... my prayers and love go out to her and her family.

My favorite part was when she tore up the tabloid papers about her. I felt like standing up and cheering. I would've, except my dad had gone to bed and I didn't want to wake him up.

I admire Farrah's courage in sharing her story in such a public way. I'm sure it will have helped a lot of other people.

It was truly a heartwarming, inspirational, yet terribily sad documentary....I put it right to DVD as I was watching, because I knew this would be such a unique piece of television history as well, yes it will win an emmy and hopefully Farrah will be there to accept in person....but I'm afraid it looks like her days are literally numbered, considering Ryan knew that Farrah wouldn't even see the documentary, so he talked so candid and openly discussed Redmonds recent problems, which she still doesn't know about, so she can't be very aware of even regular current news events.

No doubt this will be her legacy - that she was willing to show herself at her worst physical condition, but was a fighter all the way. Hopefully it will also help others and encourage doctors and scientists to further research these kinds of cancers.

[B][COLOR="DeepSkyBlue"]I really have no interest in her special. Not to be disrespectful, but she isn't (or never has been) one of my favorite people. She's always seem to be self- centered. I'm not wishing any harm (or ill) on her, but I never really cared for her

If I felt that way I'd do the respectable thing and not bother replying to the thread.

It figures. I remember you downed Don Knotts after he died because you didn't like him. If you don't have anything nice to say about someone then you should keep your comments to yourself.

Fawcett Cancer Documentary Pulls In 8.9 Million Viewers
17 May 2009 7:10 AM, PDT

The heart-wrenching documentary showing Farrah Fawcett's battle against cancer drew an estimated 8.9 million viewers on U.S. television.

The former Charlie's Angels star, 62, has spent the past three years fighting anal cancer, and pal Alana Stewart has been capturing her visits to specialists in Germany and Fawcett's attempts to come to terms with the illness.

The documentary, Farrah's Story, was aired in America on Friday night and U.S. station NBC claims preliminary figures show it was the station's most-watched programme in its Friday night slot in more than a year, excluding the Olympics.

I watched most of it. It was very hard to see her like that. The ending was especially sad when her son visited her. She is a very brave woman and I so admire her fighting spirit. God bless her. :(

I agree with the other posters, thumbs up to them...did you ever hear of the saying "If you don't have anything nice to say about a person, then don't say anything at all"...here's my version with all due respect....."If you don't have anything nice to post about a person, who is trying to be inspirational and is dying of cancer, than don't post anything at all" But be sure to leave what I feel is hypocritical the three "God" signatures at the end of your negative post.

Auntie - you're a real piece of work you are. Too bad you can't make the trip to California to piss on her grave too when the time comes. There is a time and place to say whether you like someone or not - this was NOT the place to do it. Real classless.

I hope if you ever get terribly sick, people will phone your house to let you know they never really liked you much anyway. Actually, you remind me of my ex's girlfriend who upon finding out I had a brain tumour, just had to phone me to let me know she hoped I'd die of it. You two would be good friends I'm sure.

It's so sad, it's not just Farrah that has that sort of bravery. Thousands are fighting this battle daily like this. I'm so glad Farrah has shown it first hand. And I'm so glad she has people right there for her. That's so important. It's so sad to think that her 91 yr old father has had to care for her and will probably outlive her (as well as the rest of his family). It must be so hard on him too.

Actually I read this morning that Farrah did watch the show with Ryan and Alana. Hopefully they distracted her during the part of Ryan talking about Redman's legal troubles.

MSNBC aired it last night> I turned it when it was almost hal-over, then turned it off because my mom died from cancer in 1999 and...well, you know what I'm getting at.

Yeah, I can understand. It was very tough for my mother and I to watch it all because we've lost family members to cancer, too. :(

I found this quote from 1981 to be very ironic:

Certainly her decision to stick by Ryan has made them Hollywood's most golden—and most perplexingly talked-about—couple. O'Neal, whose string of ex-sweethearts includes Barbra Streisand, Ursula Andress, Diana Ross and Bianca Jagger, is to lovelorn glamorous women what Perrier is to luncheon. "Ryan has the full complement of Irish charm, and of Irish bulls***," says an associate. "But he's got happy feet—I don't think he'll stick around, even with Farrah."
