You never hear this anymore. It seems all the traditional sitcom standards are slowly being let go of. Opening title sequences, being taped on video, laughtracks etc.

i agree, those are some of the things that made the 80's sitcoms classics.. i mean would CHEERS have been the same without the song ' everbody knows your name", or would people have actually laughed at sqaure pegs if they'r wasn't a laugh track to make them feel guilty for not laughing?
