Does anyone have any episodes that they recorded back then that had commercials in it for "One in a Million" which aired right before "Three's Company" from January to June 1980? If you had an episode of OIAM recorded, I would be eternally grateful. But I'd love it if I could see closing credits, promos, pretty much anything.

Or does anyone remember watching it back then? Any info appreciated. Thanks! :)

I have 1 from 1978, 2 from November of 1979, one from 1981 and another from 1984. Never could find any from 1980

Thanks Solomon! I think I wanna see "One in a Million" as bad as you want to see "Checking In". LOL! I'd be thrilled to see closing credits to "Happy Days" with a voiceover saying "Stay Tuned For One In A Million".

Yeah I remember being on the same hunt for Checking In, I would look for shows on CBS with hopes of seeing a checkin in promo. But I finally ended up seeing a Checking in Promo on Youtube last year. I think you have a better chance of seeing One in a Million since it lasted 5 or 6 months. Checking only lasted 4 weeks-lol

One In A Million aired before an episode of TC only twice, in January 1980, moving to a regular Saturday slot later in the month. It was yanked on the ides of March and didn't return until June--but not for long.

A show that can't perform between Happy Days and Three's Company is probably just a bad show. Even Joanie Loves Chachi was able to perform in that slot but then again it was connected to happy days-lol

"Joanie Love Chachi" only last for about a month in the slot between "Happy Days" and "Three's Company". After that trail period, "Laverne and Shirley" came back. It took until the next fall for them to try "Joanie Loves Chachi" again. This time in was on Thrusday Nights competing was "Magnum P.I." and other established series. After a few months, it was taken from this slot as well and the show was out of circulation. In the winter of 1983, "Laverne and Shirley" finally went off for the last time and whatever episodes of "Joanie Loves Chachi" that had not already been shown were used as filler between "Happy Days" and "Three's Company". However, by the fall of the next season, "Joanie Loves Chachi" was gone for good!
