Of the veterans, "Scrubs," which moved from NBC to ABC last year, looks good to return for a ninth season with most of the core cast expected to come back for at least multiple episodes.

Funny, I remember when this show seemed to be in danger of being canceled (almost every season). And now that it's finally got it's nice finale, they want to bring it back.
I'll still be into it if most of the cast returns. I was under the impression that pretty much everyone was leaving since they seem to have pilots in the work. I'll miss J.D. of course, but I think it would be watchable with just him gone and the others still there. I could be completely wrong, but it stands a better chance than doing a "New Class" type thing and replace everyone with a whole bunch of Newbies.
This feels like "That '70s Show." Seven season would have been plenty, but they just had to go to eight even though Topher Grace and Ashton Kutcher were leaving.
Also, if it does go on for a ninth season, you could compare "Scrubs" to Bill Lawrence's other sitcom "Spin City" in which the star left, (and took some other actors with him).
