ABC On the comedy side, the Patricia Heaton starrer "The Middle," which was filmed months ago, is picking up heat after a solid screening.

Three other pilots have the strong presence of stars going for them: Alyssa Milano ("Romantically Challenged"), Kelsey Grammer (the untitled Kelsey Grammer project) and Cedric the Entertainer ("The Law").

Variety, however, reported buzz for most shows, but less for Heaton & Grammer's projects. They were 'also mentions', they didn't seem impressed. :(

I do hope both shows get on air. They're both great talents, and both shows actually sound good.

I hope both get picked up. I was rooting for The Middle since news about it first broken. Kelsey and Patricia are needed back on television!
