Ironically, the Pistons started to get better in 2002- NBC's last year.

Then, of course, they made 6 straight conference finals.

But I don't think a change in networks would have changed a team's fortune.

Detroit was lucky to even get to the East Finals- they barely held off Atlanta and Boston in round 2. The Bulls were improving; they were going to eventually get pass their nemesis regardless of network.
