I'm not sure I know what you mean. I'm talking about the correct time that's attached to a email that is in my inbox. How do I fix that?

Why not, I see it when I go there, it isn't far from the top. It should say GMT -500 US/Canada Eastern

When I send myself a email from another account, the time is still incorrect after chossing US/Canada Easterm

Instead of 5:13pm it's saying 9:13pm

Pretty sure that should be in options somewhere. I haven't needed to set my timezone in a long time... but let me look anyway.

Try account.yahoo.com. It's under "member information" right at the top, and if I click to edit that, it gives me the option to change my timezone.

Well it must only be your account that is not acting right because when I sign into my husband yahoo account it has the correct time and date when I sent him an email. Try logging out and back in, it that does not work, then I don't know what to tell you.

I did all that, I came to the conclusion it's because I don't have Windows XP

It has nothing to do with what operating system you're running. It's a website, not a program on your computer. Two different things.
