Christina Aguilera will make her first big-screen appearance in Screen Gems' modern musical Burlesque, Variety reports. Directed by Steven Antin, will follow a small-town girl who follows her dreams to LA and finds love and happiness performing at a neo-burlesque club. The movie -- which was written with her in mind -- will start shooting later this year.

I already ordered my first showing ticket....lol....certainly sounds alot more intriguing than Britneys one and only film.."Crossroads"!

It's about time some brave actress did a hard hitting look at the neo burlesque clubs that are taking over this country!
