At this point, it has been one week since actress Bea Arthur passed away. As soon as I read about it on the "Golden Girls" page of this site, I responded to the thread by offering my condolences. As a way of showing respect to her, I abstained from doing any more posting that day. Once this event became public knowledge, the posts on that page were pouring in like nobody's business! It was really amazing! However, on virtually all of the pages that I frequent, including this one, the posts and even views were next to non-existant. The only explanation that I could think of is that that page bottled up the time and attention of so many of the members that no one was interested in anything else. However, it seemed that, after a few days, the novelty had worn off and people were getting on with their lives. The other pages were starting to get posts and even this one got a few! I had been doing whatever I could to stimulate some conversation. However, it seems that now people are back to posting message after message on the "Golden Girls" page! I have counted about ten since I sat down this evening! On this very page, I posted a message telling my buddies here about the ninety responses to the thread about her death. Well, now that number is up to ninety-nine! Unbeleivable!
